JC Penny's: The WORST customer service ever and I mean so bad I cannot even begin to tell you how many hours I have wasted on hold just to be "disconnected" when put on hold again. *bought a sectional 11/24 *still waiting for sectional 12/27 to be delivered (not even the bad part but have NO couch) *call to find out status, no record of order *looked up the charges on my JCP credit card, it's there. *call store back, I need to know the associates name to look it up...WHAT!??? Referred me to furniture customer service *call furniture department and on hold 42 minutes, they cannot look it up with the order number I have. Told me to call store back. *call store back, their computer will not look up anything once it's ordered. Have to call furniture dept back. *call furniture department on hold 25 minutes. They refer me to the online help desk. *call online help desk, cannot help because ordered at the store. This went on for two days...so I am disputing the charge with JCP since I don't have sofa and no one can tell me where it is or when to expect it. *called today to determine status of dispute, will take 60 days to process. *called JCP credit services to get copy of receipt so I have all details of transaction...will take two billing cycles to get me a copy...REALLY?? *called furniture customer service again to see if quicker after holidays...on hold 42 minutes. Spoke to a rep who said "sure, I can look that up" and disconnected me!!! *CALLED BACK AND PRESSED "NEW PURCHASE" WAS ANSWERED RIGHT AWAY...only to be told that he has no direct line and his name is "SIR"!!! *was transferred BACK to furniture and am currently on hold again for 30 minutes this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: Finally spoke with someone and she said it will be another week to 2 weeks, cannot give a delivery date...CANCELLED!!!!

Jcpenney in Chesapeake, Virginia - Worst online shopping experience ever!

I had the worst experience between JCP online and my JCP credit card this month. I was so appalled I cannot see myself giving JCP my money any more. It became very apparent to my this past Monday, that JCP has poor customer service and only care about getting to the next phone call instead of paying attention to the customer's need and taking care of the problem. i spoke to 7 JCP associates on Monday - why is it acceptable to be transferred 6 times and no one knows my answer? It started when i placed my order August 3rd online - I always order online with no issue - this time my order was cancelled with no email notification from JCP. So I called JCP on 8/12 and had to speak to 2 representatives. No one knew why my order was cancelled. I had a wedding I was in on 8/20 and was concerned about not receiving my items, but I was assured I would have them by 8/19. 8/19 came and passed and nothing. I left for the wedding empty-handed. 8/22 still nothing so I call JCP. They still have no idea why my order was cancelled. JCP online transferred me to the credit card company because they said it was an account issue. the JCP cc people said there was nothing wrong with my account and i assume transfers me back to JCP online. She assured she would stay on a three way call as I was upset but she cold-transferred me. The next rep again had no understanding why my order did not go through. I ask for a manger - this rep begins to talk over me, loudly, and doesn't listen to me. She badgers me and says there is nothing they can do and wants to transfer me back to JCP cc people. I said do not transfer me to anyone but a manager, next thing i know she is talking over me again and then I hear music. HOW RUDE TO PLACE A CUSTOMER ON HOLD THAT IS TALKING - I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN IN MY LIFE! Now I am talking to a fourth rep from i don't know where and it's not a manager. Then I get transferred to the Account Manager on Duty (Idk if I am speaking to the online people or the cc people at this point - was her name Amy?) She assured me that she would stay with me until the issue was resolved. I repeat my issue for the umpteenth time. She is nice. She asks to place me on hold and assures she will stay with me. Now I am on the phone with a new rep and Amy (if that's her name) is gone. The new rep is not a manager and knows nothing of my situation and says she will get a supervisor. I hold thinking maybe the supervisor knows why i have been on hold for over an hour and don't have my order from my AUGUST 3RD ORDER. The new supervisor KNOWS NOTHING!!! I AM LIVID! I told her never mind, I don't want my items anymore I am done with JCP! so after 3 weeks and close to 10 representatives, no one knows why I never received my items! When I say i am APPALLED AND DONE.... I AM APPALLED AND DONE! BUT JCP needs to know what happened to me, and customers need to know to. I am letting everyone know. NEVER AGAIN!

I was being checked out by this nice girl named Savannah. She was very patient and help me figure out which coupons I could use. Being as old as i am i get confused with all the coupons, discounts, and promotions, but she was able to take some time and talk through them and explain them to me. She was very sweet. She smile and said thank you. The experience was good and I will definitly go to the tanglewood location more instead of the valley view. 10/10

It seems like you have an issue with not paying your bill on time. This is obvious the second time that you had a late payment in less than a year.

It seems like the last time you had a late payment was in May and it looks like they made an exception for you. They gave you a second chance. In less than a year you did not pay your bill on time. You would not be having the late fee issue if you paid your bill on time.

The fault is yours not theirs. Target and Amazon would do the same. It is about time you grew up and took responsibility for your actions. Target and Amazon would do the same things, and some companies would not even give you a second chance.

They will not go into bankruptcy just because you cannot do the adult thing and pay your bills on time.

JCP has a one coupon policy, like most retail stores. Only rewards and coupons can be combined.

Update: I did write my attorney general and they did send a letter to the company and sent my a copy of their reply. It was a total lie!

That mentioned how they tried to call me and the phone was disconnected and I could get in contact with a manager (left her name) blah blah blah. Of course I called and the person was not there and left a message with my phone number and email address. Guess what? She never called me back!

Big surprise! So at the moment no furniture from JC Penney department store ever!
