JC penny's sofa's are *** after a year ,two of the spring strapes broke in half, We purchased a extra warranty only to find out it cover stains maybe the salesperson misrepresented the warranty, They sent us replacement spring and told us to find someone to put them in. Their's only two adults using this I will not ever use Penny again plus I'm I have to pay for 28% interest on poor quaity products that should be under the five year warranty I should be enjoying a sofa but you can only be in side parts Val in California

We purchased a extended warranty & we were told it covers all mechanism, parts, labor, tears, stains & sratchs on are 2-recliner leather sofa,

2-recliner love seat & are single recliner! But, after we called to file a claim because are handle on are sofa's recliner would not open or recline (it looks in perfect condition but don't work) J.C.

Penny Customer Care Supervisor told me we don't have any extended coverage on any mechanism or parts only on scratches, tears & stains & this supervisor told me to call the store we purchased the furniture at and discuss my warranty I bought with them! The sales people are "BIG FAT LIERS" & "YOU MUST READ ALL THE FINE PRINT BEFORE YOU SIGN YOUR PURCHASE"!

DON'T BUY FROM JC PENNY IT'S JUNK & THEY LIE & BECAUSE THEY DON'T: "SAY WHAT THEY MEAN" & "MEAN WHAT THEY SAY"! GO SHOP SOMEWHERE THAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY THAT THEY SAY THERE SELLING YOU & THAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT TOO!

Oh, if you only knew how they love your car and still talk about it.Personally, I am remembering the 5 hour drive from Chapel Hill the day it sneowd in Raleigh. Hope you keep it running for another 100,000, woman!

JC Penney furniture and extended warranty are jokes!!! Purchased a full set of "leather" furniture less than one year ago.

The cushion and arm of sofa started to crach and split, so I was very happy I had purchased the warranty which states specifically that they cover damage to the leather. Filed a claim, their technician came out and told me the furniture is bonded leather, so it is very common and it would soon be happening to the other pieces as well. Two days later, received a letter that the warranty claim was denied because we did not report the damage soon enough!!!

I filed within about 10 days of it happening and it took them two weeks to come out. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!

I am having the same problem, my sofa is just a year old, the bottom has fallen out and there is sagging all over. I also had purchased the extended warranty only to find out it covered stains only. Stay away from JCPenny furniture.

When I purchase an item whatever it is and I also purchase the warranty I sure don't want to take it to a lawyer to make sure I'm not being screwed over..........Now I'm NOT going to purchase the sofa @ Pennys we have been looking at thanks to the above comment.

For God's sake take some responsiblity for your purchases, read the warranty information, and remember this is jcpenney not thomasville, ethan allen or baker furniture

yeah but when they charge over 1000, it should last more than a year, but yes a lot of places dont really explain the warranties, always read fine print!!!

Thats tough even for too people to fix something like that. The smart thing to do is to allow an entire refund or new replacement.
