I have a jc penny master card.....had the card for years....I am a great customer and buy things weekly - pay my card payments on time always. today, January 10, 2018, I was on check out line with a basket full of items.

line behind me. put my card in machine to pay and was told my card was no good!!! are you kidding? tried 3 times to use.

had to put all the items back and was so baffled and embarrassed. called jc penny and I was told a new card will be sent out to me, the card I am using even though the expiration date is good until oct. 2018....is no good anymore because they are sending me a gold card and my card I am using is a platinum???????? they said it would take 10 to 12 days.

Is this a joke? I received no notice, no letter, no nothing that I could no longer use my card because they are upgrading me to a gold card.

What total idiots. And customer service offered me nothing to help the situation.....so guess what - they can stick their card right up their ***'s.
