I ordered a dress and pair of shoes online from JCPenney.com.

All of my items were marked as shipped.

My tracking status showed all items as shipped.

I receive my package and inside is a note that says JCPenney.com was "unable to completely fulfill all items on your order."

They did NOT ship the shoes I ordered, but instead shipped this note that tells me I won't get the shoes and will receive a refund in a few days.

Why did all of my order emails and shipment emails say the shoes had been shipped? Couldn't they have sent an order update to me via email when they tried to fulfill the order and couldn't?!

I called customer support and they apologized. Either way, I can't make any orders with JCP again because you never know if you'll get the item they promise!

Reason of review: Problem with delivery.

Preferred solution: They change their entire system to update the customer when an item cannot be fulfilled..
