Jcpenney in Saint Louis, Missouri - Order return

1.0
Details
I found the item I ordered in the store .... I was charged 3.95 to ship my order to the store ... when wanted to return my order ... I was told I would not be credited the 3.95 ship fee .... I think with all the stores free ship policy , & too your company is the slowest on receiving an item ... I shouldn’t have to Pay the ship fee & should be credited for it ... Not a happy customer

Both UPS and FedEX now use the post office to do the end delivery of many packages from retailers like Amazon or JC Penny. They deliver your package to the post office in your town and then the post office will make the actual delivery.

Most often, you are not told this vital bit of info when you order. The problem, of course is in the unreliability of the post office to actually deliver mail timely and/or reliably. In your case, someone may have stolen the package as it could have been "delivered" to your front door, the complex office or who knows where. Apparently, as is typical the postal carrier would not have actually knocked on your door---that takes effort---and left it somewhere for you to find.

If you paid by debit card, then you are now out the money, but can still file a dispute for non-delivered goods.

If you were smart and used a credit card, file a dispute and you won't have to pay it until this is resolved. By the way, a delivery by the post office at 8:31 pm seems very suspicious and unusual for the post office---or any delivery company unless it is around the Christmas holidays.

Jcpenney in Saint Louis, Missouri - COUPONS

2.7
Details
I went to JCPenney to shop their Saturday, one day only, $10 off $25 sale. HOWEVER, they do not have coupons in the store like other retailers nor do they mail them out anymore. They are only accessible online. Why should you need a coupon anyway? If the sale is what it says, it should be an automatic deduction at the register. Very disappointing. In addition, when I arrived at the store, they were have an Easter egg hunt for children in the store. This was was great idea, but not advertised. Again, why don't they tell customers of special events? How are some people informed and others not? I have a JCP credit card and never receive ads, promotions, etc. Is JCP going to become an online store only and opt to close stores with only 'warehouse' stores in the future? It appears they are prepping in this direction.

Jcpenney in Saint Louis, Missouri - Never order drapery

Custom drapes ordered 11/2014. 2/15 drapes installed, poor installation job. Holes put in walls where not needed and drapes were not correct size. Sales Rep. Came back to measure. Reordered and told they would expedite for 4 week delivery(needed by April event). Nine weeks later called to inquire only to be told they were not in! The drapes have been paid in full by now. Week later they call to install. A 42 inch panel is now 77 inches! Designer comes back, takes drapery to local seamstress, will call. Week later we call to inquire, drapes are ready. By now the party has taken place, everyone present now knows why you should NEVER use J C Penny! Install Mgr calls and sets an install date. Cancel out day to be home, No one shows up. Next day installer calls asking to come and install, only my husband will be home but.....drapes were installed. Not ONE person has called to check on things. Filed a complaint with BBB and they have not responded to them either. This was a complete circus of errors from top management on down. I would caution anyone considering using Penny's service DON'T DO IT! Six months of stupidity.

JCPenney has lost my business.

I used to buy EVERYTHING from Penneys. and I mean EVERYTHING!!! Now I hate it. the selection in every department sucks! I despise the fancy glossy "magazine" type flyer they send out. Waste of money, paper and ink. I liked the coupon and sales but that is not the thing that bothers me. Everythinhg seems different and the store holds no interest for me. Such limited options. Not the same at all. Now I go to Macy's. This is the beginning of the end for JCP unless they get rid of the new guy and find someone that understands retail and the target audience. You know, people with a variety of tastes.

The store has nothing that interests a 50 some year old woman, the store is stark, few choices. I used to buy all my clothes here , but now cannot find one thing I like.

There are not even any basic cotton dark colored socks. What happened to the sock department?

The Store looks empty , even the ads have nothing in them. The ad I received today in the paper has no clothing for anyone over 25, in fact the ad has almost nothing in it.

If JC Penny spent more thought on the actual merchandise it sells and less on the gimmicky

floor space it might turn the company around.

I don't know where they get their designers but the women's clothing/shoes are just ugly.

The CEO hasn't a clue about what customers want. He is losing longtime loyal shoppers.

Suggestion: Get with the times, Chose better quality products in a range of prices, organic cotton, natural fibers, offer more of the popular sizes/styles in every department, tone down the music especially in the Sephora area, major turnoff. Take a clue from what other popular department stores are selling.

Research it. Life just isn't about the 30 and under crowd. Fact:Older folks have more money.

Jcpenney in Saint Louis, Missouri - JCPENNY'S QUIT SELLING CARPENTER JEANS

JCPENNY'S quit selling Carpenter Jeans. They have put all of their pants sizes together like playing scramble just to try to find what you want. They find out they no longer sell carpenter jeans.By what I'm reading it appears they are not going to be selling a lot of the items they use to sell. That's Sad and ashame.Give the Custormer's what they what to buy or they will just go elsewhere to shop.Fire whoever has made these very bad choices to change JCPENNY'S.We want it back to the JCPENNY'S we grew up with.My money is good elsewhere.GoodBye JCPENNY'S.

Jcpenney in Saint Louis, Missouri - Simply cannot pay my bills...(((

I was trying to pay my bills via phone, it took me forever to reach real person, not automated system. I don't trust automated system, it took more than hour to reach a real person, then she put me on hold and then i was transferred back with no reason to automatic system. I just wanted to pay my monthly bills... But i couldn't because of *** automated system. Why you guys make it soooo complicated for your customers? Bad management and *** automated system show that you guys are not professionals in your field. As soon as I pay back my bills , i m going to close jcp credit card forever.
