Jcpenney in Poughkeepsie, New York - Misleading Shipping disclaimer

I ordered an online product (in stock) before the 2pm (cst) deadline and paid the extra $30.00 to have the product delivered within 2 business days...as advertised on the JCP web page. After waiting one day after I ordered, and not having received any email confirmation of my order being shipped, I called customer service to check the status of my order. I was told that the order was still in processing. I asked how it was to be delivered within the 2 day time frame as advertised on their site, and the rep was indignant and said that there was nothing they could do as the order was being processed. I spoke with a supervisor there, and she, also, was indignant claiming that the product was in process. I explained again that I paid the extra $30.00 for two day delivery, and that my order confirmation email also stated that the product will arrive within 2 business days of the order time deadline of 2pm (cst). She refused to look into the problem further stating only that if I wanted, I could return the product when I received it for a full refund. which is what I plan on doing and NEVER buying from PCP again? It is no wonder that they are now being called the 'New SEARS'. Their service is poor, their commitment is just as bad, and they have misleading disclaimers on their shipping.

Well,jcp is getting. I have placed many orders before And was happy but this time i was mislead saying that order is shipped.

Next wrong item ,wrong size,And more so the boxes of the shoe is available but not the shoe in the store. So what should be my opinion that its Bad,BadAndBAD

Here's what you do to solve the problem, go to the store, rather than dealing with the people at jcp.com because their customer service isn't as good and they don't have the authority to make changes to that sort of thing. Once in the store, ask if you can return it and re-buy it.

If it is not marked as defective, and is an item carried in some stores, it is usually not returned to the factory or warehouse, it is instead usually kept in the store. There is the rare occassion where this is not the case and then it would have to be returned to the warehouse but often times they might be able to help you work out and work around it, just be sure to ask for a supervisor or manager when doing it.

I know at my store (I work at JCP) they would help with this. Before you go all anti-jcp, most of our company has great service (we've been voted best in customer service by customers like 3 years in a row), only one or two and our jcp.com reps (who dont have the authority to really help customers) are bad in customer service.

Jcpenney in Kansas City, Missouri - HORRIBLE-1 month later and still have heard nothing from JCPenny

What a season! I have had such a horrible experience with JCPENNY. I tried ordering merchandise online this year. I had submitted my order online and had various problems with the website. I was shopping online, finished my shopping and tried to checkout. While I was waiting for the confirmation of my complete order after entering in my credit card information and submitted my order the website said there was an error. I tried for an hour to reload the site and the rest of the website was okay, just not my shopping cart or order confirmation. So I tried to renew my whole order again, same issues. My order was only 4 items! Well since this started to take me hours, I tried a third time, but this time only buy 2 things at once. I was able to submit my orders then, but the issue after that was since it took HOURS for me to try to get to buy my stuff, the colors of the stuff I wanted was "no longer available". Also, they were offering free shipping to home with a promo code on the website, but whenever I tried to enter the promo code, I was still being charged shipping! So I ended up selecting ship to store. It took them over 3 weeks to have my items shipped to the store. So I had to pick my items up from the store in the middle of the Christmas shopping stampede, when I should have been able to have it delivered to my home for free! No waiting in line for 2 hours like I had. Ridiculous! Well, I tried to call the wonderful so called 24/7 customer service number and no one answered. I tried numerous times, but still no one answered. So then I submitted a written complaint online and never heard back from them, even a month later! I submitted online and by phone the day of my occurrences, then when I was trying to see when my order was going to arrive, and after I finally got my order. Still was never able to get a person to talk to! That's not all, since the website was messing up, they submitted my orders several times. So I got 2-3 of the same things! Turns out soome of the orders did go through! They charged my credit card more than the receipt price for items! Since they submitted a charge for each item to my credit card, my credit card company froze my account since they thought it was stolen. I only have that; I don't use a debit card or carry cash since there are a lot of robberies around our area. So when I went to get gas in my car while it was empty, my car was declined. They told me there were 6 separate charges and more pending. So now, here it is near Christmas, no credit card to get gifts for the kids except for the 4 items I originally ordered. (I returned the duplicated items when I went to pick them up.) Another complaint I have about the website is that if an item is out of stock, it should say it before you try to add it to the shopping cart. It is very frustrating to think you are going to buy your loved ones gifts and then you can't since it is sold out after spending time reading about the item and reviews about it. Very frustrating and disappointing. But my biggest complaint of all is how JCPenny has done nothing to rectify the situation. I couldn't even talk to someone on their 24/7 customer service number or help lines. I tried doing it online and still never got a response after giving them over a month to reply! Again very frustrating and disappointing. (All this took place November-December 2011.)

I'm very upset on how the company treats you unfair. The company impose late fees on your account even of you fall into a hardship.

They do not care of your situation or your concerns. This is the worst company to get a credit card from. I'm disable in lose my job due to this and never been late on my account until now. In they don't have no payment plan to help me I been calling for 2 months trying to close my account.

In they keep telling me to call back every 7-10 days in I have been still NO HELP here really bad company. They not trying to help me but just billing me more late fees.

Jcpenny's GE Capital Bank Database is a ripe off to there Consumers!!!!! :upset

I ordered a loveseat online from jc penney 6 weeks ago they sent 2 left arm/legs cnnpot use i calle dweek later sent wrong part again then clled 2 weeks nothing 3rd week called they lost all info nhad to reorder part is backordered now 3 more weeks i sked for a gift cetificte for my trouble no response on nthat just an email part will be coming in 3 weeks. I AM PISSD OFF DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE ONLINE FROM JC PENNEY. For alll this trouble they should of refunded my shipping cost of 118.00 they did nothing offerred me nothing this is the worst customer service i have ever experienced and i asm 58 yeas old it is terrible.

I had a similar experience with extended wait time and excessive, unmentioned shipping fees on a few gifts I ordered. Definitely not the best online experience! :(
