The GM and his sidekick now floor mang./hr person at jcp in Greenwood SC are doing the most low down dirty promoting. First he demotes 2 experience managers with 15 plus yrs. that has knowledge of every dept. also cut their pay.Next he promotes 2 of his buddies 1 been with the co. for 15 yrs. ,but not qualified to be mang.over nothing and nobody because she's a snake. The other came for Christmas help 3yrs. ago knows nothing and got the Hr job. To top that off he hire a person from the store cleaning crew and promoted her as dept. Mang. over all the other experience associates. None of them are trained to read a zebra read a plan-o-gram scan merchandise. This has made things hard for door to floor and pricing. The moral in the store is very low and some fear for their jobs. There had not been a face to face morning meeting since he has done all of this. There is so many inappropriate things going on in the Greenwood SC store by the GM,FM/HR and a young female he's involved with.The company and the wife will definitely not be happy. He is soo rude and arrogant and always looking to find fault in something he needs a mirror. Plse get a new GM with some knowledge of all dept.don't think this one can run a register.

Jcpenney - Review in Supermarkets and Malls category

I came to jcpenney to get a pair of diamond earrings for my neice's 16th birthday. The ad said that the sale starts on 11/26 at 5pm to 12/24. I arrived at the store at 6:00 hoping to get a pair. I asked the sales person where the earrings were and she proceeded to tell me that they sold out yesterday. I said that the ad clearly stated that the sale on them started Saturday 11/26/16 so why are they sold out?? I asked for a manager and she was no help at all,not even a suggestion on to what I could do. I am so disappointed with this whole situation and to not get any help from your manager!! This is why your company will be out of business with in the next few years!! To not even try to make me happy with a couple bucks off another pair or anything!! You really need to better train your staff on customer service and your ads are very deceptive!! I will NEVER buy anything from your stores again and I will tell everyone I know not to waste their time even looking at your ads because they are very misleading!! Thanks for nothing J.C. Penney!!

I have been in the Traverse City Michigan location twice in the last week. Both times I was in there a manager named Shannon belittled employees in front of me, my husband and other customers. We could see the look of frustration on the cashiers face. However the cashier apologized for her managers conduct and was very professional. To bad I did not see the same level of professionalism from her manager.

That's ***. I work at JCP, and employees are not responsible for counterfeit money. We do have a pen that we use to detect counterfeit bills....

Bad Over priced Hair Service At Jcpenney

I visited 2 Jcpenney's hair salon one was located in West land mall in Michigan on Warren Rd. And the hair dresser name c was trying to over charge me for a simple hair style, so I spoke to the manager name Allison and she went along and agreed with her over price. And they were very rude. And the other Jcpenney was located in Novi Michigan the hair dresser name was Ketcha and she was demanding that I give her a very large tip if she do my hair. So I just left and reported this to the salon Manager, and I do not know what action she will be taking regarding Ketcha. That's why I am writing to Jcpenney Customer Service Today. To let you know about this I fell that they are stilling in your Salon and I hope you will improve your Services in the near future. Thank You From A Customer

I am 24 years old and I have been doing hair for about 4and a half years now. And I worked for jcp for 1 and a half years and the other I was an assistant at a previous salon for a very high trained stylist. I recently just quit my job at JCP. I was a hairstylist there and I would just like to warn anyone that is thinking about becoming a stylist at JCP salon to not even waste your time. I have never seen a group of employees so negative in my entire life. The store manager was just plain rude and manipulative and the salon manager was just as bad. There were never any supplies available to us stylists. I can recall an incident where I needed Pravana vivids violet for my customer that was coming in and we didn't have it the woman gets the same 12 purple highlights every 8 weeks. On Saturday when she called to make sure we had the color available for her appointment for Tuesday we had the color and then on Tuesday when I came to work for my shift magically there was absolutely no violet anywhere to be found. When questioning the other stylists about where it had gone all I received were snickers, smirks and whispers. (Now our salon isn't really all that busy. Actually it's not busy at all.) so I called our manager on the phone who was working at another jcp salon that day and asked her what I should do. Her exact words were "make the *** color then or I don't know what to tell you I just don't have time for this." So I mixed Pravana wild orchid and Pravana blue and got a similar shade to the violet. I serviced my client and she was unhappy because her hair wasn't as "bright" as usual and demanded her money back. She called and talked to my manager and Bc she knew I made the color and didnt have what I needed Bc of another stylist that works at the salon that saw her at a restaurant and told her that her hair didn't look good and we were out of supplies and that I made the color that's why it wasn't the same. The client tells that to the manager and the manager completely trashed talked me to the client and told her I wasn't a competent stylist and I shouldn't of serviced her when in reality I did what any good stylist would do and make the best of what I had. When to my face the manager said I did everything right and it was not my fault and the stylists responsible for the missing color and restaurant gossip will be written up. And there were ALOT of problems that happened similar to that. Like one time i made my productivity by the exact dollar amount and received my weekly chart from my manager and the number was off by 20 dollars and the managers told me they refused to fix it Bc it was ridiculous when I had the proof I did more than the chart. And without that 20 dollars I was under productivity. They promise you the world and can't even make sure we have the supplies you need to succeed. They tell you that you need this amount of hours to make the necessary productivity but give you more so it's harder to make that number and they tell you to your face that they pretty much set you up to fail. Anytime I reported bullying in the salon I was told in these exact words to "be aggressive with those ***." Even though we practically would shove each other out of the way to get the walkins. I also had a lot of problems with other stylists getting into my book and calling my customers and telling them I was "unavailable at that time "and rescheduling their appointments with the stylist doing the calls.it would come straight from thE clients telling me. I pretty much could figure it out when My day off was on a Monday and my Tuesday shift would come and I would be booked up when I left on Sunday and when I got there I maybe had 1 kids haircut left? When I had multiple colors for the evening. When I would report my suspicion they would take me seriously to my face and then turn around and completely make a joke out of it to the other stylists behind my back. what is going on with this company? It's ridiculous. It discourages young people to ever chase their dreams.

I was shopping at jc pennys in grand island ne yesterday where i experenced a terriable employee treating two ladys with terriable vulgar language and when i confronted her about her behavior all she could say is iam manager and thank god we do not have audio,now i am sorry but first of all id like to kno if that is her answer for her bad behavior as a manager of that store my first question is that i am questionable so if its not on camera then it dont matter .i also work at a department store and i take pride in my store and my posotion and behavior and i was discusted by her nasty behavior and to top it off it is xmas time i firmaly think that jc pennys needs to hire people to make their experences better because after the manager said that comment i put my 300.00 xmas purchase back on counter and left the store i surn those two women did nothing wrong and after she called them thiefs and nasty names and accused them of all kinds of things all i could do was watch in ah and hope that manager gets into trouble for her bad behavor she should b ashamed of her self as a professional i will never shop at thos store again im canceling my jc pennys card.I
