I WENT TO JC PENNY, BILOXI,MS. EDGEWATER MALL, I'M STANDING IN LINE TO BUY A BLOUSE, THE CASHIER IS STANDING THERE TALKING TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER, THEIR TALKING ABOUT THINGS THAT DID NOT PERTAIN TO MERCHANDISE, THEY KEPT TALKING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS VERY RUDE, IF I DIDN'T NEED THE BLOUSE, I WOULD HAVE PUT IT BACK, I KNOW THEY HAVE TO BE COURTEOUS, THAT'S A LITTLE TO MUCH, THIS WAS FRIDAY THE 13TH OF MARCH, FRONT COUNTER, BY FRONT DOOR ABOUT 4 PM.

ANOTHER PROBLEM THE AD YOU PUT IN THE PAPER WITH THE 15% OFF THEY USED TO KEEP ONE BY THE REGISTER, NOW YOU HAVE TO BRING YOUR ON, THAT'S LOSING BUSINESS, BELK'S KEEPS ONE BY THE REGISTER, PLEASE BRING THAT BACK, SOME PEOPLE DON'T GET THE PAPER. THANKS!

Jcpenney - An employee yelled us to leave the store per closed!

The yelp website said the store in lakewood closed tonight at 9:30pm. We entered the store at 9:15pm. An employee left his customers, approached us with both hands raised in the air, and yelled you both have to leave the store right away cause we're closed! My wife said: "we just came to make a pymnt and the yelp website said 9:30pm is the closing time tonight, is there a manager? The employee yelled again I'm the Manager, though we've never seen him in that store in over 20 yrs! He was waaaay out of line, with Bouncer mentality! Security was called and the Sheriff came, in which he started apologizing, when he found out how many Police Chiefs and officers are in our family, and that I'm a 30 yr News Reporter! He apologize worried then, to the Sheriff that he over stepped his boundaries. So, now I'll write a news report on the incident, and send it straight to print, and TV media. Worst experience ever in retail, and we are over 25 yr customers! Well that will end with the news report! Lakewood Mall J C Penny at 9:20 on 7/18/14. Ridiculous behavior.

HAHAHAHA! I checked Yelp, I checked the JcPenney site and I checked the Lakewood mall site and they all say the SAME THING.

This store closes at 9PM!!!!! It does NOT say 9:30PM!!! So, either you made this story up or you cannot read. Either way, I hope you feel ridiculous because you are, any way you look at it, IN THE WRONG!

But, I do hope you stick to your story and go to the media. I always enjoy a good laugh.

Some very vital details are missing from this story and anytime someone leaves out vital details, it is suspect. I have read 4 complaints here today and this is the second one where someone is going to the news media.

You may have a valid complaint, but bringing up your police family members is not only irrelevant, but cheapens your complaint. I'll look for your story being picked up by the media you referred to and see if the holes in the story are filled in.

I had a bad experience with jcpenney just recently. For the first time I had an appointment with them travel twenty miles to get to the studio just five minutes lates, they did not take me. It was my twins birthday they wanted to have their picture taking for the first time at this horrible place. I can't ever see myself going back there. The jcpenney's portrait studio should be close. bad customers service. Even thou I was only five minutes late but I was waiting for the customers service desk for ten minutes because he was on the phone. when I ask him to speak with the manager, he told me he was the manager I can't believed it .

Jcpenney in Eugene, Oregon - I like the St Johns bay sandals

30 percent of this country live in a warm climate, and you cannot find a decent pair of reasonably priced sandals with a back strap anywhere the ST. Johns fisherman Midway was a reasonably cost sandal that lasted. Now they are nowhere to be found. My mother worked at JCP as an office manager for 30 plus years and all they have done is gone downhill since she passed away. I hardly ever shop there anymore Pissed at JCP Where did they go to I would love to continue buying their products. I am not the only one. JCP get real It is no wonder you are going downhill. I was raised as a loyal JCP customer but I am starting to change my mind like everyone else. I am 63. I bought a pair pf Nunn Bush on the web from JCP and they are *** for almost twice the money

Jcpenney - Purchased an online order as a gift and a week later price changed jcpenny would not adjust the price for a customer of over 25 years where is there customer service?

I went to the Staten Island mall to purchase a comforter set for my son and daughter in law as a gift , not even a week after the purchase I saw online that the set I had gotten them was even a better sale , I called customer service to get a price adjustment and was told they would not make the adjustment for a customer of over 25 years , it is a great inconvenience by I will now go back to the store return it and repurchase it , only because my son liked it so much , but as a consumer and a loyal customer JC Penny will never ever get me to shop there again ... This to me is a real shame because the employee's at the Staten Island stores are some of the best customer service people I have ever encountered , I even tried to steal some of them through the years , I am a manager in another very large company , and appreciate great service ... Get it together Penny's we miss you original look!! When will companies realize that bad customer service will take them down every time ? It is to bad the employees of the company don't have more say , they know how it needs to be done the new management just won't let them do it...

Jcpenney in Sunnyside, Washington - Lack of respect and poor management

I Was in your sunny side store and was appalled to hear several teammates having a discussion regarding how some of their coworkers were going to handle getting fired later that day. I find this to be quite disturbing on many levels, first if someone is going to be fired that should be confidential between the manager and the teammate. This is clearly not a subject that should be discussed on the sales floor, and frankly I was embarrassed to overhear such a discussion. If this is the amount of respect and professionalism you show your teammates then I believe they are better of without your job. Furthermore if your store manager cannot keep issues such as this confidential from other teammates and customers then you do not have the appropriate manager in the first place and maybe they should be the one getting fired. I will no longer be shopping in your sunny side store.

It's not your business anyway. Sometimes it's good to have selective hearing.

How do you know the teammate didn't inform other customers they were being fired? You're doing too much assuming and again it's something that shouldn't concern you.

Wrong. Managers are the team leaders and should set a positive example, regardless of what the employee is or is not doing.

They are held to a higher standard. That's what they are being paid to do. The fact that you would defend their totally unprofessional behavior shows your obvious lack of understanding of how a good management team should conduct themselves. If no one ever speaks up, then bad behavior is rewarded, so I agree with anonymous.

She knows the difference between right and wrong, and she certainly knows more about the situation than you do, since she was shopping in the store when it happened, and you weren't.

That selective hearing you speak of is just a cop out for people who don't care enough to ever want to stand up and get involved to help make things better for everyone. The people who get things done are the ones who dare to challenge the status quo, not the ones who just follow everyone else and can't think for themselves.
