Jcpenney - No even exchanges on online orders

I bought several pairs of jeans online from JCPenney’s and half of them fit well. When I went to the store to exchange the jeans that did not fit, I was told that I could not have an even exchange. I had to return the ones I bought online and wait for the money to be refunded to my bank account before I could buy the new ones. (Or, of course, just buy the other pants and wait for the refund on the originals.) What?? Beware.

We bought my grandson 8 pair (size 8 husky) because finding his size was difficult and these were the first we found that fit- sadly that was 4 weeks ago and every single pair are ripped in the knee already (and he’s not an overly tough kid) two pair developed holes near the front pocket with no explainable reason! I have never seen such flimsy quality and am highly disappointed in penny’s!

Just because you like something doesn't mean a store is "out of touch" because they discontinue it. If they discontinue it's because they aren't selling enough. It's simple economics.

Yes, after the system processes the order you have to wait to receive your items then return it. The item you ordered is immediately tagged to be shipped and hits all warehouses until order is fulfilled.

So cancellations will not stop it from shipping even if you just ordered it. The ordering system is some what cumbersome, even if they were to credit your card once the item ships you may be charged again..because the system will automatically tagged it not paid, when really it's a cancelled and the system isn't programed to identify cancelled items. A person has to physically scan and return the item back to warehouse as a return.

This is what I was told when I attempted to make a cancellation. Who knows...better to receive then return what you don't want, versus risking being charged accidentally on your card or something else strange happening.

Jcpenney - Website Status is a Joke

Ordered 12/25 from website. 3 of 5 in stock. In stock items "should" deliver in 4 - 7 business days. Shipping dates given on or before 1/1/15. Status I was given on 12/30 "IN PROCESS". 2 in stock "expected" ship dates 12/26. 1 in stock and 2 back ordered "expected" ship 1/1. No tracking. No updates. No emails. I have no clue when I will get my sons jeans. I want and need tracking! At least let me know when something has shipped! I will never order online from JCP.com again. There are too many technological advances for this website to be so lacking. As a frequent online shopper I am very disappointed.
