I applied for jc credit card at sephora. At that time I paid for my purchases.

Never received card but did get a bill for over $2000. They said card was sent to correct address. Apparantly not! They said it would be disputed and made it sound simple.

We'll see about that. My credit score is already lowered, as whoever used the card used 90 percent of credit.

I'll continue to post how this ordeal goes. Not very optimistic.

Synchrony Bank SUCKS I will NEVER get Any kind of credit card from them ever again. Cancelled my JCPenney card that is at a zero balance and in perfect standing because of changes in my credit? Never heard of credit company cancelling a credit card that is in perfect standings never late in payments

~ seriously get out via written notification & cut the card up~ EXAMPLE Synchrony can & will slam you for 1100 SURPRISE interest on a 1500 so called 0% deferred interest promo. Get the 0% picture out of your mind,,, it's a SUPER DANGEROUS FOR THE CONSUMER mind *** game, they play hard ball!!! .. AND the contract few read & less understand but chicken scratch sign anyway protects them not you!!!!

Why do you think they wrote it without any input from you other than your chicken scratch signature????? BOTTOM LINE "Deferred-interest promos" are the latest plague on the consumer credit system!!!!!!! You have no idea how complicated they are until you get bitten .. the default penalty which can happen for any small reason is like being in a neighbor's yard & they let their Rottweiler loose on you because you did not get out of the yard in time & they won't bother to check if your getting out cuz it's THEIR PLAYGROUND which gives them the legal right to be a heartless bully..

Your better off instantly transferring all ballance to a ""REAL"" Discover, Visa or MasterCard card offering a "non" deferred 0% promo to avoid potentially being trapped into a surprise surprise surprise 35% interest Avalanche added to the original selling price of each product you purchase with the card.. You're just another crab in a NASTY NASTY crab pot in the Synchrony 0% scheme when the CONTRACT behind the card finds a way for their legal team to open up a can of whoop *** on you they all feast on your bank savings for dinner! And can garnish your wages in some states to make sure they get a whole pie & yours too..

Trust the community, you can be very hurt if you don't. With non store credit cards you can call up near the end of the promotion & ask if they have extensions or new ones they're usually willing to sign you up which gives you plenty of time to pay it off without any retroactive knockout punch to your savings & credit rating from the store branded credit card crooks

Forgive a mistake. Do not hurt my credit report for months over a $38 I did not know returned ( my fault ) and offer a loyal customer who learned from their mistakes another chance to make it right.

Again I purchase the Hotpoint washer & Dryer on Black Friday 11/24/2018 to receive the $200 Visa Card. Well that wasn't Honor when they delivered my washer & dryer they left it in the middle of the floor of the basement, they DIDN'T bring the necessary equipment to hook anything up, I had to go to Lowes to get the equipment, I called GE & JCPenney they both work it out GE didn't want to budge at all. Still not Please Nevertheless, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM JCPENNEY EVER!!!!!

Jcpenney - JCP Credit Card is so secure even I can't use it

I recently moved to the east coast from the west coast, and therefore have a new address and phone number. I went to update my information on the credit card login site, only to be told that I could not update my address without my previous mobile phone (which is inoperative in my new town of residence). Apparently, sending a secure passcode via email is not possible; the passcode can only be received via the mobile phone number already on the site. I figured by calling customer service I could get these issues resolved. I was mistaken. They have to snail mail the passcode, which takes 7-10 days, and my JCP credit card is utterly useless until then. So much for taking advantage of the fall sale. I guess JCP doesn't want my money!

I set up recurring payments and had problems with it at least 3 times. Thank the lord I only owe 191.00 on this card.

They said they closed my account because of non payment, but I pay it all the time. Never had a problem until recurring payments were set up. They are not deducting from the right account. I updated it at least 3 times and now I make one time payments.

Funny how those go through.

I use to shop there all the time, but now I will never shop there again. Also very pissed off.

I found this situation very odd. It is almost like something else is going on here Went to JC Penny to make a purchase. Check declined. I did not want a 15% discount. I would have to sign for their credit card. Which I do not want. This will probably happen again. Consumers checks being declined. I have a bad feeling about this one. Consumer control? When you have a very good credit rating. And your check is declined. That tells me something is terribly wrong. Maybe government controlling the consumer Well good luck everyone. It will be interesting to see the outcome of all these checks being declined. So good by jc penny.
