JCP closed my account without warning. I was a good customer and paid my bills on time.

Although I currently have a low credit score, my account was closed when I had a balance of zero on my JCP card.

The closing of my account had a damaging effect on my credit score. I am so pissed!

If you don't use your card frequently or stop using it for 2 years they put a hold on your account for your own protection. What if you lost it and someone wanted to make a purchase with it?

The associate calls the JCP credit company and then they talk to you to make sure you are the correct person, verify SSN and what not. They then re-activate your card and you can use it.

National Reward Center in Ceres, California - Misleading scammers

I did the Two things it said to do, share and send to five groups to get a jcpenny card, now it wants all this other stuff, just do what you said you would and give me my card or i will post daily wjay a scam this is, very decieving. Jcpenney in North Carolina - ACCOUNT CLOSED -LOYAL CUSTOMERS MEAN NOTHING

I had the same thing happen to me! I am a loyal Jcpenney silver card member who has never missed one single payment. However when I called customer service (after coming out of shock that my account had been closed) Nelly said "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do". I asked her could I please talk to a regional manager or get a phone number for him. She told me you are talking to a manager. She said all I can do is give you an address so you can write with your complaint. I was devastated! Surely someone cares about thing like this. I told Nelly that there was a problem with the way Jcpenney processes payments because they ask you to schedule your payment and you do that however the payment then takes days to draft and since none of my other credit card or other accounts do this (they draft immediately) when my 18 year old comes to me to use the bank card for things she needs, she thinks the balance is accurate and uses accordingly. Replacement payment was made for over the amount due. To close a loyal customer account for this is OUTRAGEOUS! Jcpenney needs it loyal customers to succeed.

Jcpenney - Credit Card Review from Henderson, Nevada

I used to buy all of my clothes at jcpenny and nowhere else. I am a plus size woman and think it is completely rude and disrespectful to put them in a total different part of the store in the corner of the mens and bedding department not only that I hardly find anything, everytime I come here nothing in my size. It is really depressing because I used to love this store and I have a credit card with you but in all honesty what's the point anymore? And I'm not the only plus size woman who feels this way I hope someday JCP gets it together again as far as the plus size section goes.

You sound like you are not making the minimum payments...a requirement FOR ALL CREDIT CARDS!!!!! If you don't the consequences are LATE FEES AND PENALTIES AND HIGHER INTEREST RATES!!!

Ok hate to break it to you but credit card financing doesn't work in a ohh I'll pay what I want when I want laid back manner. Gosh I hope you see this before you implode
