Jcpenney - Closed Account

I opened a JCP Credit Card in March and purchased several items. Within a month I payed the balance in full. They went ahead without notification and closed an already approved account in August because my score went down. When I opened the account nobody informed me of their practice before I opened one. I had lost my job and was on hard times. Thanks JC Penney for *** on someone when they are already down! I will never shop there again! You lost a customer for life.

I also have issues with JC Penny. We had a purchase balance of 82.33 which was due on 3/2/19.

I pay all my bills electronically. My bank statement showed the transaction was made on 2/25/19, yet the Jc penny Billing department issued a late payment fee of $29.00. It has been verbally waived but I asked my bank if it is possible that this payment was not made on time and they assured me that an electronic payment is made the same day it is shown on the statement. JC Penny tried to blame my bank for the error.

Typical corporate b.s.. I am waiting to see the statement with the credit of 29.00 on it.

Details
Just received a letter informing me my account was cancelled due to credit activity. I was sure to thank them and advise I will no longer be shopping at the dying jcp. I was never late and hadn't used the account in over a year. This is how a store in trouble operates. It is no surprize. They were selling terrible merchandise anyway. Going into local stores is always a nightmare. Items are off the racks, merchandise is poorly displayed and size selections seemed to indicate a desire to attract only obese customers. Customer service is non-existent and cashiers are clueless and rude. This is one store which I will not miss.

Jcpenney - JC Penney just doesn't care

If there could be less than one star, I would pick that. I got an email today stating that my reward would be expiring. I tried to log on to my account, but got a message that the password was incorrect. I asked for a new password but did not receive one. So I called the rewards customer service. I was on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I finally reached someone, who told me the email was a mistake. I called Penney's general customer service and got a bunch of excuses of why they were so busy. When I said I should receive some rewards points for being on hold for a ridiculous amount of time and not being able to access my account, I was told no. There was absolutely no effort to make things better or have me leave the situation as a happy customer.

While my mother was dying in the hospital I recieved a bill on a JCPenny card (that I had not seen or used for at least a year). It arrived in Oct. and was overdue, so that the supposed original charge/charge date was impossible to decipher. It was for around $139. After several phone calls one representative let slip it was originally a $25 charge in July. They actually let JCPenny investigate their own fraud, and of course they found none. My mother died and left me independantly wealthy so JCPenny, who has played their hand by mailing bills to me simultaneously with a 13 call a day Allied Collections barrage, can suck it! All allied calls are blocked with a free app and I do not and will never need the credit (that dropped 200pts from perfect) they are hurting me so bad (yeah) with destroying. Knowing how many criminals they have employed in my area, I don't know what JCPenny is covering up right now, but this is the sixth incident of this kind my family has experienced. The three times they screwed up my well off, middle class, Government accountant father's account there were appologies and free interest and lots of credit back. I don't fight...I just walk away and you can believe no one I know will ever again buy from JCPennys. Good lord willing, eventually internet shopping will kill them dead ASAP! BEWARE "accidental" credit card fraud is a thing with this company!

We bought a dresser that came damaged and at first they gave us a portion of a refund to account for the damage. After more damage was discovered, they sent another dresser. You guessed it, that one came damaged as well. My wife was fed up with getting damaged items from them and decided that she just wanted a refund. After a battle with the customer service department over being able to be refunded the remainder (apparently the woman though that once you get some portion back that relieves them from all necessity to do anything else). Eventually someone who was competent enough with the process filed a return. At first they didn't claim that they had received the return from the shipping company that THEY solicited and used. After not being able to contact the shipping company for over a week JC Penney finally found the return. That was last month on the 14th. My wife has called JC Penney customer service over 15 times now trying to get our money back for the dresser that they took back. Each time we call, they have no idea what has happened so far so we have to re explain everything. Each person we get on the phone assures us that he or she has put a note in the system for it to be a priority to refund our money within 48-72 hours. Again, this was over a month ago. Needless to say JC Penney at the moment has refused to refund the money for a dresser that they have had for over a month now. All we can do is continue to call and pester them, but for $500+, call and pester them we will. Every day until we get the refund that is a month late.

Jcpenney in Detroit, Michigan - Terrible and cheap quality mattress

I purchased a mattress from JCP.com. The mattress didn't even last a year. the mattress tore and both the box spring and mattress had springs and wires sticking out of them. The rep I spoke was very nasty and rude and said the could not fix the mattress/box spring because their was a stain on the mattress. I closed my account and had 3 other family/friends to cancel theirs. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT JCP AGAIN!!! THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, THE CUSTOMERS SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. I WILL CONTINUE TO CALL ANY AND EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH JCP TO GET THIS ISSUE SOLVED
