I called before coming to the store to make sure the particular armoire was available. I was told that it was.

I drove to the store immediately after and two female associates said they had not had that item for quite a while. They checked anyway and came empty handed. I was a little upset that I wasted my time and gas driving over for a product that was not there and I wanted to know what the discount t was on the floor model. They understood and had the department manager come out to speak to me.

The manager, Lisa Jackson, stepped out to the area and already looked annoyed. I asked if there would be more coming in or if it was discontinued and she rudely told me that she didnt know because she didn't do the ordering as if I was supposed to know that. She was not trying to be cordial or helpful so I had to keep asking questions to figure out what to do next. I then asked if stores nearby had one and if one did would they ship it to this particular store.

She said I don't know, an associate can check on that. So I said, assuming no other store carries it, what is the discount on the floor model? She rolled her eyes and said the best she could do was 10%. I asked "even with the scrapes and dents?".

She raised her voice and said, 10% is the best I can do. So I was feeling her irritation and it bothered me so I asked why the floor model wasn't marked as the last one available ? She yelled at me and said "you know what, Ill take it off the floor just for you. How about that?!"and she stormed off.

I was still looking at it and contemplating whether or. It to purchase it especially after that!!! I saw her pull aside a male associate and point at me and talk to him for about 5 minutes. It turns out she told him to take it off the floor to make me leave and that I was crazy and scared her.

No, I am not making this up. I heard her tell the female worker to stop helping me after that!!! I still purchased it since it was my mother's xmas present even though my whole being was telling me to leave the store and never come back. I spent nearly $400 and was treated like a leper!?!?!

And that was one of the managers!! How did she even get that position?! I have never seen that or experienced that before. I left my name and number for the head manager of the store Billie and she has yet to contact me a week and a half later.

I even left a voicemail on her work machine with my complaint and name and number. I did not hear from her.

I emailed corporate and they forwarded it to Billie and I still have not heard from her. This is ridiculous.

Hahahahaha. I liked the very last part but I don't care if they think im a nutjob for sticking up for myself.

Everyone i have talked to said they wouldn't let it go and would contact the district manager soon. A manager should never be like that and obviously she has been getting away with it for who knows how long since nothing is done about it.

Unfortunately, realistically there is nothing that can be done.

Personal attacks would accomplish nothing. Attacking the store would accomplish nothing. It would only lead to you being perceived as a nutjob. I think the only satisfaction you could gain out of this is to keep going in "shopping", go to the same sales associate that was mean to you every time, and just be as rude, crude, petty, shetty, (yeah i made the last word up) and take up as much of their time as you can over one item at a time.

Then not buy it. LOL Just make a game out of it.

Just know you are doing it for revenge and have fun. Then you can be Justaprissymissywithanasstheycankissy :-)

Since you seem to have some time on your hands maybe you have some ideas how to help resolve this issue? It's been several days since this Abuse took place @ the Springfield, Illinois location.

We have several calls/complaints into JC Penney. Frankly, we just don't seem to be getting the response were looking for? Major lack of Respect/Sympathy on JC Penney's end. This company just doesn't care or has hired all the wrong People/Management?

I'm thinking now might be the time to get "Rude" and that's where you come in.

Do you have any ideas or Contacts @ JC Penney that could us out? You're Thoughts/Time/Ideas is appreciated!

I beg to differ So Sad. I happen to be there and witnessed the whole event.

I was standing right there looking at Shirts and Costume Jewelry. I have never seen such behavior from any store employee let alone a "Manager". This Young lady couldn't have been any nicer and this "Manager" almost had her in tears. At this point we traded contact information.

I am happy helping her address this situation with the Proper Authority @ JC Penny which obviously is not happening at the Springfield, Illinois location. I was not the only one that offered to help.

Two store employees also came forwarded and mentioned witnessing this "Manager" treat customers like this several other times in the past. These two employees also offered their information to help make sure this issue is properly addressed.

Uh no this isn't bogus and I wish it was. Would you like me to provide my receipt number and total as well as the names of the workers that saw it all and the name of the head manager that has yet to get back with me?

How in the world could someone make something like this up?!

I said I wasn't making it up because I knew someone wouldn't believe a manager actually said that! I've never had to work this hard to file a complaint.
