I purchased an item from online with a gift card and the remaining balance on my debit card. I did receive the correct item. Unfortunately the item didn't fit. So i decided to stop by the store thinking that it would be an even trade. I just wanted a smaller size. When...

The way Jcpenney's system is set up, you have to do a full return and then repurchase the item you are getting for the same price originally paid if you ordered the item online. The system only allows to do even exchange with in store purchases not online purchases.

Jcpenney - Shipping Service Review from Chicago, Illinois

Details
Be aware of purchasing a huge amount of items online from JCPenney due to freud and being cheated, or should I said robbed. I purchased about 30 items online. After i received the shipment, some of the items which were on the Order Summary I did not receive them. However, I was charged for those items I did not receive and were on the Order Summary. When I called the JC Penney number 18003221189, the lady said that probably they did not have those items I wad charged for, and that's why I did not receive them. However, when I purchased all the items it showed on the system they are in stock. The same jcpenney customer service I was talking to said that if i want them to send me the items I did not received, she will charge me again for them and this time I will be charged their regular price. If they don't have those items, as the lady said initially, how I will receive them a second time. I will never shop online again from JC Penney. I will shop from Macy. I have always received the correct items and all of the items I have purchased online frim Macy.Even they prefer to send me the items in chunk, which means that they nake sure they ship all the items they indicate on the order summary.

Jcpenney in Chicago, Illinois - Never ordering again from JCPennny

I've been a loyal customer to JCPenny for 20 years but I WILL NEVER ORDER from them again. I am sitting on my phone (on hold) right now with them. This is my fourteenth phone call to them just to try to get a cushion repaired that is their fault. This 'repair team' that calls you back in 3-5 days never calls and when I call to check on it there is no record of it in the computer. How could this possibly happen three times on one order? I have taken everyone's name and number that I spoke with so I could complain about those who where useless and give credit to those who were helpful but it is a waste of time. I have tried to tell numerous customer service reps my problem with the service so the procedure could be fixed and streamlined but it is very, very clear no one cares enough to listen. Lost another customer. I repeat, as tempting as it may be, DO NOT ORDER FROM JCPENNY.

Update #3. Final update.

I ended up calling JCP to remind them I had only received one of the canceled invoices via email. I should have received 4.

The representative replied that they are not able to email invoices. I explained that I had already received one,...

Jcpenney in Chicago, Illinois - Mark up stickers

Bought package of socks marked $14 factory packaging had price of $12. Got home peeled the $14 sticker of to find price of $10. When things are obviously marked higher than MSRP it undermines customer intelligence to just slap a sticker over it. Everyday low prices didn't work fine. Over pricing items in hopes to snag a few unwitting dopes before a sale seem like a half *** effort to compensate for the failure of their last business plan. I know it's just two dollars more for socks, but iit's the principle that they think their customers are that dumb.

So if I'm not lucky enough to get a HUGE $10 coupon I have to pay more? Not every customer is lucky enough to receive coupons and last time I checked they are not handing them out as apology gifts at the front door.

What people want is fair competive pricing, not deceptive stickers slapped on old price tags. Kohl's items always have fair pricing, are always on sale, and offer 15, 20, and 30% on a monthly basis.

JCP lost money offering coupons, lost money with fair & square pricing, and continues to lose money deceiving their customers by raising prices. RIP JCP, and keep telling your employees everything is going to be OK.

The prices got marked up so they could do sales and coupons again. I don't understand what consumers don't understand about that.

You wanted sales and coupons now you're getting them. Everyday low price was very fair, some of you just don't know how to do math.

You cant get a low price and have a sale and coupon and expect the company to still be in business. Can't get everything for free.

I bet you represent JCPenney's!!! Every grocery store survives and thrives even though people use coupons on products they sell.

The insensitivity in your reply smacks so of big business! I can see why you are begging people back to your stores!!!

I can assure you that I could give a flying *** whether you shop here or not. I'm not begging a soul to come shop there lol.

I don't care. I go to work, do my job, and go home to my family and pay my bills. It isn't that serious to me. It's the truth, a lot of you want stuff for free.

See it all the time while working. Customers switching tags, trying to remove signs. I've seen it all. The mentality is so unbelievable in this country sometimes.

You don't like JcPenney's then don't shop here, plain and simple. Be like normal people who when they can't find something, they just go elsewhere to another store to find it or something similar.

Excuse me, but the coupons you get in the paper for grocery and cosmetic products are MANUFACTURE'S coupons. It clearly states that on the coupon.

This means that you can use them anywhere the product is sold.

The manufacture reimburses the store for the amount, so the store does not take a loss. So, maybe you should educate yourself before you start making your "smart" comments.

I see people continuously fail with reading comprehension so let me explain it again. You're NOT going to get a everyday low price with a sale and a coupon.

Capeesh? I didn't say anything about the store losing money because of coupons. My point was all of it combined!!! IT's ok we enjoy the psychological effect it has on consumers.

If you haven't in retail that's what happen when you want a sale, prices get marked up so they can put it on sale...duhhh!

Everyday low price would be just one fair low price all of the time. I don't know how else to explain it to you.

I was given a silver bracelet for my 50th birthday as a gift. I wore it about once a week to work. One day as I was sitting at my desk, the bracelet fell off and onto my lap. I thought the clasp had come undone even though it had a safety on it. To my surprise, the...

Well, you were wrong in wanting something done about it after the stated 60 day period, but as a jcpenney associate, I know that they could have done something about it if you were within the 60 days. so they were wrong about one thing, and right about another.

Jcpenney in Chicago, Illinois - What in heavens name were you thinking?

Your screaming and unbelievably annoying commercial will now always remind me of *** women shopping in your store. I will never be able to drive by, read an add, or review a sale paper without thinking of this most vile attack on consumerism without thinking about JC Penny. Who ever thought this was a good idea should be strung and hosed down. Who ever approved it should be fired. You have struck the inner core of my being. Geeees........I want to just puke every time I think of you now. Really, if you think any publicity is good publicity, I think your wrong on this one.
