Recently purchased a 10 x 13 Rug from JCPenney. Was charged $125 trucking fee for delivery.

Kohl's will charge you $30 for the same rug. Even with all the JCP discounts and associate discount. The rug cost more than purchasing the rug direct from Kohl's online. The rug is identical from Kohl's but because the name is different similar to the Mattress game.

You will not find the same named Mattress in a competitor store. So due to name game, JCPenney will not honor their price match policy. Both rugs are manufactured by Oriental Rug manufacturer. So as an employee of JCP I will no longer be loyal to purchasing from them as they are not providing quality customer service to their own.

I will be a loyal Kohl's customer and will not be recommending JCPenney to friends and family. JCP needs to remember who there advocates are to better sales and a better company. You cannot continue to provide poor customer service and still exist in this competitive landscape.

So for those purchasing a home rug. Checkout Kohl's online store as you will save on average 25% to JCPenney prices as a normal customer.

I can only imagine what Kohl's employees pay vs JCPenney employees. As Kohl's general public pricing is lower than JCpenney's employee discount.

Product or Service Mentioned: Rug.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $128.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Jcpenney Cons: Customer service and pricing.

Then why the heck didn't you purchase this at Kohl's??? This has GOT to be an April fool's joke!

And Kohl's is just like every other retail store out there, not one is better than the other. They are ALL going bankrupt soon.
