So I paid my JCP credit card payment in full via my banks bill pay. JCP returned the payment and then said they never received it.
When I called customer service to see if the late fee could be waived they said they had no record of the payment being mailed in and wouldn't waive the late fee. They said if I just forgot to pay the bill they would waive it but not for my reason.
I have all of the confirmation numbers from my bank saying that they mailed it and it was returned by JCP. I don't see how you can reverse the late fee for forgetfulness and not for a processing error.
