Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - SHAME ON J.C. PENNEY - CANCELING ORDERS WITH DISCOUNTS!

2.5
Details
They just did the same to me. They cancelled two of my orders (which were purchased at really good savings due to the items being on sale in combination with some coupon codes). They sent me confirmation of my orders via email. Then they sent me confirmation of them having been shipped...and finally the tracking information showed the shipment as delayed for reasons that the sender re-routed them to be returned to them. I was charged for one of the orders. I still do not see a refund, but, am VERY disappointed and astonished that they would do something that is, so obviously, poor business practice.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - Terrible customer service !!

1.0
Details
Promise from penny's for delivery , not delivered, no explaination. Terrible service. Why aren't companies held to agreements they make ? We were desperate for a new washing machine as ours just died ( bearing worn out) just as our two boys returned home for summer. We only bought from penny's because they promised us the soonest delivery. Now with no delivery in sight we are facing a growing mountain of clothes and contact with this company has been only a lesson in frustration . It seems company's are allowed to lie to consumers with no recourse. Yet if I was to try to throw around promises with no intentions of following through in my daily life I would suffer serious repercussions .

I purchased some blouses from liz clairborne at jc penney at they tore up after the first use. Blouses were expensive and the material is so thin and cheap.they should be way cheeper for that kind of material.

I'm distressed to read your comment. I must have been a fluke.

I've been a happy Liz customer for over 15 years and have never had a problem with any of their products. My only con is that their products are becoming increasingly inaccessible. The choice of stores that carry them is limited. Other than JCP and QVC there are no other choices.

ringing back their on line purchases would be heavenly. I loved that option.Liz pease take this suggestion into serious consideration.BC

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - ARE THE STORE BUYERS LISTENING?

I know dozens of women who are looking for Cabin Creek jeans and twill pants, especially in women's sizes. Our local JC Penny in the Owens Valley of California doesn't even carry anything in women's sizes now. No wonder JC Penny is losing money. They don't listen to their customer base!! If the company would returned to Cabin Creek jeans and other pants, or even could carry something just the same by another name and ADVERTISE this well, there would be a virtual flood of women spending money at JC Penny again. Cabin Creek carried a line of pants that fit women of every size. When you go on line to find them, there are people so aware of their value that they're selling them on Ebay of all places. JC Penny could be the hero to a LOT of women out there.

JCPenney did not accept coupon

May 03 by anonymous Just quit giving the $10.00 off $25.00 if you aren't going to let anyone using it.Ridiculous! Went in and spent a good amount of time shopping for some items that were NOT listed as door busters...total came to over $25.00 and they said we couldn't use the coupon. Waste of time. I will head back over to kohl's where they NEVER turn down a coupon...even if I forget my coupon they still let me use it if I tell them. Seems it would make more sense to just accept the coupon as you are losing A LOT of sales by not accepting them. I will cancel my jcpenney credit card and will no longer shop here.I am a busy person and I don't have time to do this.

I would NEVER shop at Kohl's. I've been to 2 local Kohl's stores and they are an utter mess.

I would find a top but couldn't find another one in my size. The associates are no of help either as they can't decipher through the mess.

I once stood in line for 20 minutes. There were 10-12 people ahead of me and only one cashier.

At JCP, it is a rule to call for another cashier if you are by yourself and there are more than 3 people in line.

After that ridiculous experience at Kohl's, I said 'never again.'

As for coupons, I've been told on my face by Kohl employees that I had to bring it in myself. I don't know what this complainer is talking about.

The KOHL's near me is a mess....

I don't care how many coupons they give me, I'd never shop there.

I can never find an available associate to help me.

By the way, I work at JCP. Our coupons always have the same exclusions, as anonymous stated in their reply posted on June 16.

Another thing....the merchandise subtotal must be $25 before you can use the $10 off $25 coupon.

I've seen a lot of eye-rolling over that one.

Read the Fine Print. They don't put on there for you customers to ignore.

The coupon has exclusions: Doorbusters, Big Buys, Nike, Levis, Disney, Clark's, Spanx, Kitchen Electrics, etc.

It's all listed in there if you would just take 30 seconds to read. It's not a long time.

I was with you until you said that Kohl's lets you use your coupon even when you forget it at home, it is obvious you work at Kohls.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - PLEASE ALSO SEND THESE TO PLANO,TX DIRECTLY

As a current employee..so far..please send ALL these directly to the head office in Plano, TX. Believe me when I say as employees of JCP who have been here for some time, we all AGREE with you, but at the employee level we a can't do anything about it, not even our store manager. Also just as a footnote, though no excuse for some rude employees, mgmt, etc...we have had customers literally gripeing (spelling?) at us everyday, for over a year since this "change" started, just remember we are doing the best we can, but we are by no means a "customer service venting punching bag". Do the surveys, call the head office-Board of directors..Where its going to count and who REALLY have the say-so to make the changes and UNDO all these "changes"

Don't complain to the head office, they are the problem. Write to the board of directors who actually have the power to fire Ron Johnson, Kramer and Blum.

Their arrogance has put the company in a bad position, not to mention the horrible position former, retired and current employees are in. JCP is a great company, it's leadership not so much.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - Watches

DON'T buy the jewelry care plan, it they have to send your items out for repair or batteries you migh not get the same one back. The claimed the could not get the back off my watch to replace the battery and had to send it out to their repair shop. The gave me another watch back. The band on my watch was gold and the one I recieved back was badly faded, it was not the same band. Yes I was pissed because I cared for my watch and kept it in good condition. If they can't repair you jewelry on the spot or replace the battery on the spot Don't let them send it out you might not get back the same jewelry. Don't even waste time purchasing the protection plan because they are going to have to sent it out what a rip off sending out good jewelry and then replacing it with cheap jewelry, thats probably why the push the protection plan so they can resale the good items they receive for repair.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - My opinion on current state of JCP

I am a 66 year old grandmother and I shop at many stores in my area. I have always shopped regularly at JCP. I was interested in the changes that I had read about. But, I must say I am not impressed with the changes. Initially, I liked the idea of simple pricing. But my biggest complaint is the quality of the items offered. The price is "good" but the quality of the items are very poor. It's like "management" decided to greatly reduce manufacturing costs, at the price of quality. Please get better quality items (women's, missy clothing, and men's clothing as well. Then I will return to actual purchasing your items again. I'm glad someone's listening... Vicki Madosh-Duenas

I stopped shopping at Penny's when the newest CEO came aboard . With in his first week he insulted costomers by saying he would "reteach us how to shop.

When I went to the local Penny's, it felt more like Walmart. Then all the brand my family liked were gone, no more arizona black relaxed jeans for my husband. Almost no Boys huskys. I was told by staff ,not to mention my age if I called, because the store was appealing to younger people..

It didn"t matter that I shop for several generations. I have found other store to shop in, but I recently recieved a gift card, so into Penny's I went, I looked until I almost dropped, there was nothing for me. I ended up purchasing a few thing for the grand kids. The items were not up to par, but the gift card is done with and so is our once beloved Penny's.

Please get a new CEO, and try to get back some of your old brand names.

Oh yea don't give your CEO any bonus on his way out, He has managed to destroy a once loved store.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - Watch out for the up sales.

Went to check out their 2 pair of glasses for $99.each. I left because of the shell game being played with the choices, and how when I tried to back up a little to save money, suddenly choices were no longer available. They don't even give you an itemized receipt so you can see what you paid for what. Last time for me. Hate the corporate attitude. They measure success by how much they can trick their customers into paying. And it's too bad they make their employees to take part in this scheme, because they actually have a decent selection of frames.

Jcpenney in Los Angeles, California - Poor Selection, higher prices than competitors

For years I have been an avid JCPenney online shopper. For the past year my shopping cart has pretty much remained empty, as try as I might I can't find anything from their product lines to purchase. My husband says "Thank You JCPenney, no monthly payments for you!" Now this form requires that I enter at least 100 words voicing my complaint. What would Judge Judy say? Poor quality, High prices, limited supplies. If I do find something to purchase after searching online for hours to appease my insomnia, it will inevitably be out of stock. Did I include poor value???
