Went to return handbag and was automatically told it wasn't from their store.I had to pull up the item to prove I was telling the truth.

When I return things it usually takes well up to a half an hour because their system is so poorly run that the persons using the registers have a hard time and are given a hard time by customers. JCP doesn't always provide invoices containing actual proof of purchase which leaves the consumer to decipher their bills especially ones with discounts .

When you go into a store you're expected to have an invoice and sometimes they don't even come with your orders.Such poor customer service on the phone and such confusion with returns and discounts and coupons it's almost not worth going anymore

So you're saying your failure to provide a receipt or any other proof of purchase is too difficult for you & we should cater to you???Rewarding bad (and ***) behavior is no way for a company to do business.

Start being smart & keeping your documents.

Instead of crying for others not accommodating you.This is part of being a responsible adult.
