Took 45 minutes to complete my shopping. the associate couldnot find my account. Told me to go use the store credit line. The Credit Line only spoke Spanish. the store manager told me to use my personal cell to contact the credit deparment. The credit dept. rep. found my account using my ssn and my home telephone, which the associates could have done. i was totally embrassed by the exprience.

I am so disappointed in my recent experience with JCPenney. I have always been a dedicated customer, and I just don't have any faith in JCPenney anymore. I placed an order via JCPenney.com Order#2017-08**-**16-7612 on March 30th. On March 31st I received an email saying my order shipped. I called a couple of times to check the status of my order, and I was told it was on the truck, and I should receive it by Friday, March 7th. On Saturday, March 8th, I stopped at the Alliance store to pick up my order, I was told that shipments are only handled Monday-Friday, and no shipments are received on the weekends. I was not happy about this comment, the clerk said they did not trust anyone to work on the JCPenney.com orders. On Tuesday, April 11th, I called the Alliance store to see if my order was in. I was told again no and I should call back on Thursday when they're expecting another truck. Why am I getting the run around about my order? I called 1-80*-322-**** and asked for a supervisor. Her name was Sabrina, she was very short with me and did have any interest in finding my order. Her recommendation to me was to cancel the order, be mailed a refund (a check since I paid via Paypal) , and she charge me AGAIN for the new order. She demonstrated poor customer service. Please provide Sabrina with additional training. Still unhappy, I called back, 1-80*-322-**** and asked to speak to a different supervisor, her name was Monique. She had a different story. She said my order never shipped. After I complained and discussed my lack of adequate customer service, she offered me a $10 gift card. She went on to tell me to call the Alliance store for refund and she would replace the order charging me again. I was so disappointed. I asked her to replace the order for free shipping directly to my house. She agreed and then said it would take 4-7 business days. Again, I felt this was inadequate customer service. I told her I would have to end my relationship with JCPenney because this was just too much. I called the Alliance store 817-745-**** back to cancel my order and prepared myself for the song and dance about a check being mailed to me. To my surprise, I was placed on hold, and an angel named Robin got on the line. She immediately apologized for my experience something that Sabrina never did. She went on to say she found one of my items in the store but could not find the other one. She offered to replace the order and refund my missing order on a gift card and replace the order on the gift card which would eliminate the need to charge me TWICE. She also shipped the new order via express delivery to my home. This was excellent customer service. Please acknowledge Robin for her hard work and commitment to customer service. Although I have not received my order because all of this happened today. My opinion about JCPenney has not changed. I will have to end my relationship due to lack of customer service. Needed a new Dishwasher

I bought a Samsung dishwasher online after I went shopping at the store and the sales girl was not much help. I found a coupon online where I could get the dishwasher for $52.90 less.

I ordered it and my credit card would not go though. It was not the credit card issue because I pay it off every month. I called customer service and I had to pay with my debit card. They have free delivery and she said it will be at my house on March 30, 2017 but someone would call me the night before the arrival date.

I never got that call. On March 30 I called customer service and it said my date I was to get it was April 11 on a Tuesday. I never received a call and asked me if it was ok. I had a guy scheduled for Friday March 31 to install my dishwasher.I have to cancel that.JCPenney had free installation but not on dishwashers because they say it is not basic installation.

I called and talk to a customer service rep and she said that they had to reschedule the shipment because it was not available from Samsung. I asked the service rep at the store and online when it could be delivery and they both gave me the March 30 date. The last customer service rep told me that Samsung should have called me and rescheduled. I told her that I did not buy it from Samsung but from JCPenney and they should have called me.

I told them that because of there screw up they should do something for me like a discount or free installation since they did have a deal like that but not on dishwashers. I didn't think I was asking for much. She said she could not do that. I said ok if she could not do ANYTHING JUST CANCELL MY ORDER.

I DO NOT SEE MYSELF BUYING ANYTHING FROM jcpENNEY AGAIN. if THAT IS THE WAY THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS I DO NOT WANT TO BE A CUSTOMER John Havelka, johninlancaster1@***.com

Make sure they credit back your money. This is why you should never, ever use a debit card and only a credit card online---or anywhere else for that matter. Debit cards can be very dangerous to your financial health.

I got a call from the stating that they were having a sale for valentines day, so I went to the store bought a ring and paid for it in full. I was told because this was a presale that the ring could not be sent out for sizing until the 29 of January 2017. I call the store on the 29 and after being told they were to busy to talk to me they would call me back. Someone finally returned the call and told me that they would send the ring to be size. I receive the ring back on the 9 of February the ring was sizes wrong the right size on paperwork but ring was not correct. So it had to be sent back for the correct size. This was for a gift now it is February 20 and the ring still not back yet. I will never buy anything from your jewery department again. I went and bought another ring from a store and it had to be size and I already receive the ring bought on 2/11/17 received 2/15/17 . I hope all your costumers are treated this way. when I call about the ring no one cares. I purchased a blouse from the JC Penny licated in Memphis TN on Winchester Rd. Once I got home and began to get dress for a dinner party I noticed the sensor was left on the blouse. Which was a great disappointment because I ended uo not wearing the outfit I had just gone to purchase.A few days later I went back to the store and requested that the sensor be removed. Jeremy the store manager was VERY RUDE AND OFFENSIVE as if I had done something wrong. He rudely and very loudly asked me for my receipt and credit card. There were other customers on looking. This incident was totally offensive. I shop at JCPenny at least four times a month. And never have I been treated so terrible. I told Jeremy of my plans to write this review and report his very poorly customer service.

I placed an order on 12/11/16 for three items! I rec'd email that two of the items would ship separately. I rec'd one item on 12/16/16 & was suppose to receive second shipment on 12/19/16! On 12/19/16 I rec'd second shipment with only one item and the highest priced item was not there but JCPenny had received payment for the total shipment. After finally getting someone on the phone two days later, no one seems to know where the third item is or why it is showing delivered! Smh I will never order from JCPenny again for a home delivery. I usually order to ship to store but thought I would take advantage of the free shipping, well free shipping cost me one item because they do not have any more in stock! NEVER AGAIN! Now waiting for my credit card to be credited back for this lousy service!

I was in your Danbury, CT store Christmas shopping last evening. I am a gold credit card holder, mind you, and was purchasing a number of Christmas gifts.

I went to a cashier by the name of Peggy, and asked if there were any offers or discounts for card holders. She flat out said NO. I walked away, putting back half the items I was holding. I proceeded to another register and asked the same question to the employee at another register.

This employee asked her an older associate the question of the discount, and she said, "Well, we had in store coupons this morning, and we were busy, so they are all gone, so there are no discounts." I explained that I was a very good customer who had spent so much there, and was a gold card holder, and that was when she insulted me!! She told me that if I was expecting a deal, then I should consider coming around the counter, and working in her position. How insulting is that to say to someone who is Spending money in your store. How can you employ people who have the audacity to say that to your customer?

J c Penney needs to take a good, hard look at how their employees treat customers. For that reason, I will be returning all the items I purchased, and will never, ever shop their again. Just so you know also, my daughter and I used your hair salon in Poughkeepsie, NY, but will not be using them again in the future. The last time we were there, they gave us one price over the phone for a wash, cut and blow dry, then charged us another 10.00 each after we had the services done.

They claimed, our hair was longer than they expected, and needed more shampoo, conditioner, and blow-dry time. That is dishonest, and deceiving. Ask me why I returned after that? I don't know.

I guess I was hoping to get Christmas deals like I was given in Macy's, Kohls, and everywhere else. Shame on you J C Penney!

The cashiers are NOT empowered to hand out discounts, regardless of how much money you spend there!!! Shame on your for harassing store employees who are just trying to do their jobs and earn a living.

No one cares if you are a "gold credit card holder" (WTF is that?) or if you feel you deserve special handouts because you hold some credit card no one cares about.

You were a pain in the _____ (whatever your first name is) and felt big and bad by berating two separate employees that have ZERO say in JC Penney policies.

Out of no where Jcpenney has lowered my credit. This is the second time happened and I been with JCP for over 3 years. At first I started with 200 dollar credit then it increased up to 400 and then up to 600 and few months ago up to now supposed to be 800. I Called and asked and was told it was a random audit then spooked to the Supervisor who said it was something on my credit that is why Synchrony Bank determined this. Next I spoke with the MOD (Julie Page) who said sorry there is nothing can do for you I am the highest person you can talk to and I am going to know disconnect the call. I have always made my payments on time and gone above and beyond monthly payment amounts and keeping account in good status. As with my credit since I was approved for the last 800 have not made any changes to my credit report and feel they should not base our credit history with out side sources when I been clearly a good, faithful and loyal member to jcp and to now treat me this way am no longer happy with the company.

Aw look another coward hiding there name wants to get in on this. Looks like Im not the only one who agrees that the reply was just blaming me of not using my card and that I am some kind of a broke person with no money.

Who side are you on, "we can't tell". And I did request the amount back as my good friends suggested it was an automated system that the companies use which may be at fault but instead still got denied.

Turns out from protesting on JCP social media sites (twitter, Facebook, & Instagram) I raised a big fuss about this and gained hundreds of followers who this happened to them as well. Some even told them straight up that they need a new banker.

If you read the whole paragraph and thout about each word and let it process in your slow brain correctly you would of known this. Turns out from what I heard (not sure if true) jcpenney was hurting for money and started taking it out on their members.

When was the last time you used it? Account that goes unused they usually lower the amount to prevent high fraud on inactive accounts.

If you need more money you can always ask for an increase at time of purchase. Tons of companies do this with inactive accounts.

Not just jcpenney (which it isnt jcp its a different company that own the credit card) maybe you should use your card when you go in and shop and not just your bank card. Pay it off with your bank card instead.

Had to call JC Penny at Whitemarsh Mall, Md. and it was the worst experience ever. Called over seven times and my last call asked for manager. After being transferred numerous times and being cut off or put on hold and no one ever coming back I finally got a manager. I can't believe they allow their employees to handle the calls in this manner. Such horrible customer service!! Not that these complaints change anything but its my right to express how inappropriately this store handles their customers. Also at the previous store that I was at when the item I was looking for was not available I asked them to call the other store to see if they had it and they said their phones were not working right and gave me the number to call which they gave me the wrong number!!

Today I went in to buy mom birthday gift. I was in line to pay for literally 35-40 min. I was very pissed off. Lady's at registers taking their sweet time. Like come on do the transaction and next customer. When it was finally my turn. I was going to return and buy something else . She stated to hang up dress and shirt the scan it. Like do that when you have no customers. She was slow. Just like the other lady. They will be talking and take their time to call next person in line. I was very close of just leaving items and not coming back. Nor do I have any plans of stepping foot in there ever again.

Called to place an order was on hold 13 minutes and someone picked the phone up and purposely hung up. I called back and was on hold 12 minutes and Tanisha answered asked me my name didnt say hold or nothing i hear music and the phone hangs up again (she should be fired) i called a third time and got Carolyn i was smart enough this time to ask for her ID# 6246. Place my order with her but this is my last order i will spend my money wher i am appreciated and treated better. Call the complaint number and all the phone did was ring for over 10 minutes. Its a wonder you are still in business. Pissed customer

Today I received an email from JCPenny asking me to answer a question a customer had about a window roller shade sold by JCPenny. I have recently purchased 4 of these roller shades--thus I am assuming the reason they reached out to me for my feedback. Anyway, I wrote my review--which was not bad in any way. However, JCPenny send me an email back stating that they would not publish my review because I mentioned other retailer names. So, I mention that JCPenny pricing with coupons beat all the competitors pricing (Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Lowe's, etc.) on this particular item. And my review is refused! Good Grief--then why reach out to your customers for feedback? What could JCPenny be hiding from their customers if they review all feedback and they decide what gets published! They are no better than Amazon at this point concerning customer reviews---the reviews are all "fake".

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKER! I will NEVER come back to the Sunrise Mall JCPenny ever again.

I spent about $100.00 on a few items.

As i was leaving after "PAYING" for my stuff.. extremely rude Chinese woman jams me up at the door snatches my backpack and couple of items from me and very rudely ask me did I pay for these I say to her yes I did I don't steal I have my receipt she asked to see it I showed it to her she still did not believe me she walked me to the register where I pay for my things ask the girl did I buy them the girl says yes she continued to scan my items and make sure they match my receipt I have never stolen anything from the store nor have I ever been treated so terribly unprofessional rude discriminating ridiculous by anybody ever in my life
