On February 23,2017 I placed 1 order containing 2 items. On February 28 I received an email from jcp to pick up one of the items. The store employee told me only one item had been delivered. After waiting more than a week to receive an email stating my 2nd item was ready for pick up, I went on line to chat with customer service and they told me to call the store. Well, I had called the store and no one answers the phone for the dept. I needed. So the chat person said they would send an email to the store manager telling her to contact me. Of course, she never contacted me by phone or email. So I tried several times to contact the dept. again, still no answer. I called again, but this time I tried going through another dept. that I knew was right next to the one I needed. The girl who answered put me on hold saying she would try to find someone. After coming back again, she put me on hold again and I was disconnected. I called the store again and went through the jewelry dept. She paged the store manager who said she would look for the item and call me back. The guy from the order pick up dept. called to tell me that my item had come in late the night before. So I went to pick it up. I told the guy in the dept. that I had called several times that morning and no one answered the phone. He told me the phone had not rung at all that morning. When he brought me the package, there were several different shipping labels on it. That told me that my package had gone to the wrong store at least 3 times. It also had black marker lines through a couple of the labels. Normally there is only 1 shipping label on a package. JCPenney needs to take care of business a lot better than they do. No wonder they are having issues, enough so they have to close so many stores. What a mess. I finally got my 2nd item but all the frustration is not worth placing another order through them again.

I ordered two pair of athletic pants from JC Penny. I was never sent any updates for the order. I had to manually go in and check the status using the order number. 10 days later it showed I could pick them up at the store. I went to the store and there was only one pair of pants. The lady at the store told me she could not help me with the other pair. She also said she would never order online for JC Penny. Great response for and employee. I asked to cancel the other pair. She said she could not cancel that I had to call online customer service. When I called customer service they said I had to cancel at the store. After almost a month and numerous phone calls with two different managers. No pants and my credit card is still charged. I filed a case with Discover to get my money back, Still waiting.

While my mother was dying in the hospital I recieved a bill on a JCPenny card (that I had not seen or used for at least a year). It arrived in Oct. and was overdue, so that the supposed original charge/charge date was impossible to decipher. It was for around $139. After several phone calls one representative let slip it was originally a $25 charge in July. They actually let JCPenny investigate their own fraud, and of course they found none. My mother died and left me independantly wealthy so JCPenny, who has played their hand by mailing bills to me simultaneously with a 13 call a day Allied Collections barrage, can suck it! All allied calls are blocked with a free app and I do not and will never need the credit (that dropped 200pts from perfect) they are hurting me so bad (yeah) with destroying. Knowing how many criminals they have employed in my area, I don't know what JCPenny is covering up right now, but this is the sixth incident of this kind my family has experienced. The three times they screwed up my well off, middle class, Government accountant father's account there were appologies and free interest and lots of credit back. I don't fight...I just walk away and you can believe no one I know will ever again buy from JCPennys. Good lord willing, eventually internet shopping will kill them dead ASAP! BEWARE "accidental" credit card fraud is a thing with this company!

I got a call from the stating that they were having a sale for valentines day, so I went to the store bought a ring and paid for it in full. I was told because this was a presale that the ring could not be sent out for sizing until the 29 of January 2017. I call the store on the 29 and after being told they were to busy to talk to me they would call me back. Someone finally returned the call and told me that they would send the ring to be size. I receive the ring back on the 9 of February the ring was sizes wrong the right size on paperwork but ring was not correct. So it had to be sent back for the correct size. This was for a gift now it is February 20 and the ring still not back yet. I will never buy anything from your jewery department again. I went and bought another ring from a store and it had to be size and I already receive the ring bought on 2/11/17 received 2/15/17 . I hope all your costumers are treated this way. when I call about the ring no one cares. I purchased a blouse from the JC Penny licated in Memphis TN on Winchester Rd. Once I got home and began to get dress for a dinner party I noticed the sensor was left on the blouse. Which was a great disappointment because I ended uo not wearing the outfit I had just gone to purchase.A few days later I went back to the store and requested that the sensor be removed. Jeremy the store manager was VERY RUDE AND OFFENSIVE as if I had done something wrong. He rudely and very loudly asked me for my receipt and credit card. There were other customers on looking. This incident was totally offensive. I shop at JCPenny at least four times a month. And never have I been treated so terrible. I told Jeremy of my plans to write this review and report his very poorly customer service.

This is the last time I order anything from this store. It's 8:30 pm and my daughter who is in college has not received her arrangement. This is incredible! These arrangements are very expensive and it's not fair that customers are getting their gifts at the end of the day. It takes away all the fun from their special day! The person who answered the phone when I called told me they don't guarantee time, very irresponsible, of course they have already collected your money so you can sit and wait until whenever they can get to your order. Bad management and poor planning. So sorry for them!
