Cashier and manager at the 18600 Alderwood Mall Parkway Lynnwood WA

I Was In The Store in Alderwood Mall Parkway Lynnwood WA 11/09/2012- looking for Christmas gifts for my daughter . I bought the thing for $ 91 and when I got home and checked the price on the receipt I saw that the price is different does not coincide with the tags an clothing . I went back to the store that would adjust a price and I have a $10 coupon. So.. when I explain to cashier what I need, she canceled my receipt and return money in the credit card after that she adjust the price and used my coupon an new receipt ... The problem start when she used the same card ... she tell me that card is not working and I don't have money an the card and I have to call my credit card or pay with different payments... she refused to help me .. and it's start irritated me because I already in the store for 25 min.. and we done nothing... she start argue with me and I ask her to call store manager...when the manager come.. he explained her how to correct the problem.. but he started telling me he can't take my coupon because I only spend in the store $91 and it's have to be $100, It's shook me that he don't now that coupon I have an the mail one week ago from my last purchases of $200 in JCP store, not from this purchases of $91..So now I start argue with the manager of JCP store...I had enough ...and what I see that a cashier stands and laughs at me. . It's sad because I was were happy before I came to the store and I just want buy a present for my little girl... I was very upset with a lowest level customer service in the store and I had enough time to see that workers do not know their jobs.

Military member treatment

This turned into a REALLY disappointing experience. Out of the 8 items on Order Number 2012-33**-**05-4310, six were cancelled.

Why offer so many items that are out of stock? I ordered all my wife's Christmas through JCP online on November 26, thinking they could deliver in time. Instead, I got "cancellation" emails on December 19. It took a last minute shopping trip in the UAE to rescue Christmas.

JC Penney, you won't have to worry about disappointing me again.

I will remember this kind of treatment and ensure my relatives and friends are aware of it as well. Goodbye JC Penney!

I think all the "comments" are missing his point. He never asked or was looking for a discount.

He is expressing he is military in that he has no way to go physically shopping on his own, and has to resolve to using online shopping only.

And, his beef with JCP is that they waited 24 days to notify him that they were out of stock of everything. Leaving him less than a week (overseas in the United Arab Emirates) to purchase things and get them shipped.

Is there this much prejudice towards military members that no one could read what he wrote and just assumed immediately? Sad day.

Guest

penney's doesn't do military discounts. ensure you tell your relatives and friends that before they bother going, if that's all you're after.

Guest

I've bought a lot of stuff online from them. No where in the checkout did it have a box to check or ask about being a military member. If you had shopped in store they might have been able to tell that you were a military member, but when you order online, you are only another anonymous person behind a computer screen and a keyboard

Guest

Why is there a mention of being a military member here? That has absolutely nothing to do with anything about JCP.

Guest

What you and a lot of other people don't realize is that in between the time the items are listed and the time you place your order, they could have sold out. This has nothing to do with whether or not you a member of the military.

They didn't seek you out individually to do this to. Honestly, these things happen.

JCPENNEY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

Went to buy a dress on jcpenney.com today, the dress I had envisioned myself in for my senior pictures this summer. A dress in which I cannot find another like.

On the website they offered 1 size option; a size 1, the size I need. When I clicked on "add to bag", it said "We're sorry, but the My Michelle Eyelet Strapless Sundress is currently unavailable in 1 and White". So, I call my local JCPenney to have them back-order it, but for some reason they can't do that? Not to mention they weren't exactly polite or helpful about it.

I'm freaking pissed. & JCPenney can go to ***. Like for real?! If you're sold out of something, take it off your website!!!!

You're supposed to be a professional company and you can't even keep your *** up-to-date?! THAT'S CALLED FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, because it clearly shows that it's available in a size 1 until you click "add to bag". Now, I don't know what I'm going to do about a dress. I have no clue.

I can't find another dress similar that I like and I was so excited just to have my dreams shot down.

I mean, senior pictures are a big deal (for me at least). & this is just ridiculous.

10 years...that's how long it took me to go back i to a JC Penny Store. I was sort of impressed walking in.

It was Fathers Day and I drove past 2 other JC Pernny stores to get to the one that had the watch I wanted "IN STOCK" online. I got there, waited in line, finally got to the one person in jewelry to get to me..and have her tell me that it has been sold out and out of stock for 3 days. Again I checked online before driving 25 miles and it was "IN STOCK" 30 minutes earlier.

50 Years -I will be dead, and not have gone back in a JC Penny again! Rick

Not Surprising. Here Canton Ohio the Some associates in the Canton Store act as if the customer doesn't matter.

Went to the store the Sat. before last and tried to order a mattress. After 4 hours the sales person was unable to order the mattress correctly. I told a so called manager and she acted oblivious to my problem.

I told her the associate did not know how to place and order. Two registers were not operational. Later the next week the associate calls me back and tells me that I need to come back to the store because the mattress is out of stock, I go to the JCP web site and I can order it. I get all the way till have to put payment information.

So it looks like to me it is still available. I have had to see doctors and was not able to visit the store last week. One so called manager tells me I have to wait till on specified days to talk to him. I found PISSED CONSUMER WAS PERFECTLY IN LINE WITH MY THINKING.

Your company is hiring way too many people w/o adequate skills sets.

The manager at the Canton, OH location has nary a clue how to train and equip the new employees to be successful sales associates. The one thing they do well is *** OFF CUSTOMERS!!!

I agree...lying so and sos.....Paperwork says "Exchanges & returns' but they do not do exchanges....messed up items can only be returned and then you have to RE-ORDER and pay for shipping unless you make other arrangements.....very inconvienent

Yep, I've had my payment's set up through my bank where they draw from it each month. This month I made it on time, and thought everything was fine.

Till I noticed my bank acct hadn't taken it out. Now it's 8 days overdue. I tried contacting them through online chat to see how to fix this and why it rejected my payment. Chat kept freezing.

I couldn't submit my payment again as usual so I set it up through my banks online bill pay. Then two days later I checked to see if they got it. At this point it looks like im 10 days late. Well when I logged on it shows I'm now in collections for 300 dollars.

What????? So I call them directly and the automated payment thanks me for sending my original payment in on time. What?? So I contact customer service and say hey howcome it says you got payment, then it says it's been rejected.

She says it mustve been off by a number. I said well my acct # and routing # haven't changed and I've been making payments for years through this online set up. So I say was it on your end that a number was put in wrong? She stays silent.

I say look I don't want my credit and late fees because I didn't do anything wrong but try to make my payement on time. She says she will correct it and next month I will have a high payment but then it will go back to normal. I say why is it going to be so high. She says only for that month then it will go back to normal.

At this point I was just happy to have fees and collections removed so I guess I will pay triple my normal min payment next month, but ya, Idk? I wonder if this was intentional on their part. Are they trying to collect extra fee's, payments, or what?? Seems fishy to me.

Now I have to change how I pay them and babysit my acct. Trust is shattered!

Consistent ship damage and no easy way to remedy

Ordered end tables online and had to reorder twice more as one arrived broken and the other had a damaged front. Each time I had to haul back to store. After second time I was told they won't ship to store for pre inspection. Not an easy company to do business with. When I tried to post a review on their site they denied it. It was not slander just factual as mentioned above. I was a fan of JCP now they'll never get another penny from me. I now know why their stock is dropping like a rock.

To Ron Johnson

You are obviously a TYPE A Narcissistic, I cannot believe the mess you have made out of the JCP name. Your "new" shops offer cheap merchandise--when I was a manager for JCP I would not have offered it for sale to our customers; too embarrassed. I suggest you go back to Target or Apple; for in the clothing business golf clothes are hardly representative of a CEO. This is indicative of the ease at which you have literally destroyed this company, and laughed while you did so. Having spent 20 years and walked hundreds of miles through the aisles of JCP; assisting customers (something you find disdainful); thanking those who came to shop (obviously below your simple abilities), straightening merchandise, and giving a break to a sales associate, you seem to forget this is a hands-on business; not one that can be run by a computer and survive. A computer is an assistant, not the answer.

Lied to about shipment numerous times

I ordered a tri-fold wallet for my husband from jcp, on 12/03/12 on line. 10 days later get postcard ite unavailable, call customer service, I am told they have in black no brown order item again. Had ordered other wallet with other stuff and free shipping this time they try to charge shipping even though item not available is their fault. Get customer care person does order on phone says in stock will ship in time for Xmas. Gives me discount for confusion and delay and free shipping. Get postcard from JCP item has shipped. Waiting, waiting awing! No wallet call customer care they say it shipped 12/17/12 (first time said shipped 12/05/12!) Call again on 12/21/12 said postcard has no tracking number? Says it will be here 12/24/12. No iWallet! Again! call customer service this time they say oh it was canceled! I am really sick and tired of all the lies, plus now I just found out they never removed the charges from my card. I finally got someone who actually took the charges off but had no explanation for the constant run=around! I will not do business with JCP on line ever again!!

Jcpenney portrait studio

Had a horrible experience, not once, but twice. First time employee showed up ten minutes after the store should have opened at ten for my appointment at ten. Second time, came in for my appointment and was told they were running an hour behind. No sorry or anything just looked at me like he cared less. No compensation for either experience. Didn't end up getting any pictures the second time since we ended up leaving. Don't waste your time trying to get pictures at jcp or be prepared for the HORRIBLE customer service!! The cheap prices equal the lack of quality in their product.

I am so disappointed in the new JCP...what happened to J C Penney's...the store I have so happily depended on for over fifty years?

ALL THE BRANDS OF CLOTHING THAT I HAVE DEPENDED ON ARE GONE!

There is absolutely nothing that I want to purchase..as far as I'm concerned...and from what I read and hear.....whoever has brought about all of these unwelcome changes is making a big mistake......I find the whole JCP experience to be distasteful and disappointing....I don't shop there anymore...why even bother looking.....

Customer service

I would very like much to have a shopping cart when I visit JCP. I am an older woman who uses these carts to help walk. I love the carts Khols provides and often shop there because they offer a cart. I have two sister that share the same complaint, no carts no shopping JCP (Bedford Indiana). One has knee replacement the other a bad back. When you have physical disabilities you can not carry a lot of items from one part of the store to another. I think you are losing a lot of business with your lack of shopping carts.

We have two kinds of shopping carts at the JCP store where I work.

Andrea Ahw

Are you seriously trying to imply that it is the store's responsibility to provide you with a walker? It is not.

If you have trouble walking then YOU need to supply YOUR own means of walking. Shopping carts, riding carts, even those sanitary wipes are a COURTESY that NO store has to provide. Bring your own walker.

Jesus.

I really have heard it all. :eek

What does this even mean?

I ordered a pair of pants on 12-31. Item # FC563-****D oredr # 2012-36**-**08-3323, they said I would have to wait until Jan. 8 to get them. Okay, I needed them on the 9th (they are my school's colors and I needed them for a ralley) so I call back on the 8th and they can't find them under the item#, order # or my phone #. They finally find the order only to tell me they aren't there yet and to check back in 2 days. So I miss the reason I really wanted them but okay. Now I call back 2 days later and they tell me two weeks more. Are you really wondering why you came up as #1 for America's most hated company? I ordered shoes from The Finish Line that they didn't have, on the same day I ordered the pants and they came to my door three days later with no shipping charge. (Unlike you who charged extra for shipping.) The experts are correct, you will be gone by the end of the year because you have no customer service and therefore no customer loyalty. Too bed, I have been a loyal customer for 40 yeras but never again.

i was walking through the floor between shoes and youth when the associate anna from shoes called me spik a racial slur about after 5:20pm last week at store 1531 at langhorne, pa I'm a customer and i do not deserve this treatment, if something is not done about her i will not shop at the store anymore, also i do not want to get contacted by anybody that works at the store. And thank you for your cooperation and have a nice day. Please teach your associates how to talk to the customers and not use racial slurs in the future.

A Spik is a Spik is a Spik, actually that's all that shopes at JCP now, I bet you had your 4 children with you too, I bet they were being very well behaved. Hahaha I bet you brought a cart in from Sears and was pushing it around in JCP helping you steal stuff for said children. Spik

Takai Bpb

First of all, this is not the JCPenny site. So as you stated, will not be going back their unless the employee is fired, consider yourself a X-shopper because Penny's has not way to read this.

Next, your understanding of the English language is "lacking, which may have lead you to misunderstand what the employee said.

I know you have not mastered English by your complete lack of punctuation. So please before you get all bent out of shape, make sure a complete stranger, for no reason at all, called you a "spik".

Guest

I don't think thats even a slang word anymore. Maybe you misunderstood.

Guest

If any employee talked like that on the sales floor they would lose their job, so I really don't think this happened.

Product never ships and no answers

Order product - backorder date passes - order gets cancelled - order gets put back in place via email and/or phone to customer service - again, date passes and the same thing happens again - since mid-November. Cannot get any answers - customers service claims there is no way to know the truth about the product availability. They promise to have customer relations call - they don't. I have 20 plus emails just trying to get them to fulfill an order for underwear. Lousy service. Lousy system. And no way to get through to anyone who cares - if anyone at JCP does.

JCPenney stole my money

First off, my JCPenney bill was due Feb. 14, 2012. As anyone has done I had forgotten (I just found out I have a tumor on my pituitary gland so that might explain some of my forgetfulness... nothing that will kill me JCP so don't send me *** about cheap funeral attire). Anyway, on Feb. 18th (Saturday) I realized I forgot to pay it. I went to JCPenney's website to make a payment. My total bill owed was $357.16. My payment due was $50.00. My total card limit is $800.00. I decided to pay $157.16 so my balance would be an even $200 plus whatever interest for the following month. So, I entered the 157 in the dollar box and the 16 in the cents box, confirmed the amount and then hit the submit button. I got a "Thank You for your $1,571.00 payment" page. After rubbing my eyes I thought that couldn't be right. I went to my bank's page to check my account and there it was.... all $1,571 of it had already hit my account. That began my phone calls to JCPenney from about 4:30 p.m. to about 11:00 p.m. I don't recall the names of who all I spoke to on Saturday because I mistakenly assumed whoever I spoke to would correct the error. Yeah, my bad. In the politest way I could I asked for someone to fix the problem. I was hung up on three times. Or should I say told to "hold please while my call was transferred to a supervisor" only to have an automated voice tell me "your call could not be completed as dialed... Click." After the third time I figured out I was politely being hung up on. So yes, by my fourth call when I finally spoke to a 'supervisor' I wasn't in the best mood. Want to know why? Because after all the hang-ups I finally got a supervisor who didn't understand why I was so upset.

Really? Seriously!!! I've been on the phone all night, been hung up on three times and now he's telling me he doesn't think taking $1,571 out of my account is a big deal. Then he told me my payment was late so my account was in collections. Give me a break. No one sends an account to collections four days past due. Heck, I have other credit cards that even give me a ten or fifteen day grace period with no late fee. And I wasn't contesting paying the late fee anyway. He treated me as if I was some kind of deadbeat trying to get out of paying my bill. Hardly, I've only had one other late payment on this account and that was when my Mother-In-Law was in the hospital dying of cancer. I don't know, something in me forgot about my JCP bill while I was busy emotionally supporting my husband and his family. Anyway, as an example, I explained to this supervisor that for all he knew I had $5 left in my account. If my son had an asthma attack I couldn't even afford to refill his inhaler and I'm fairly certain my pharmacist doesn't accept the JCPenney card. He said that was my problem, not his. So yes, I got loud and a little vulgar but at this point who wouldn't? He finally told me to call back in the morning.

So that began round two with the people at the Pittsburg call center first thing Sunday morning. I didn't catch the name of the first woman who took my call or who she transferred me to. When I was hung up on again I started taking notes. I called back and spoke to Chloe, sounded like an older woman who completely understood why I was upset (one of the few who did it seemed and you should consider promoting her). She transferred me to Ralph who sent me to transfer/hang-up land. I called right back and got Chloe again. I asked her to transfer me to someone other than Ralph because he hung up on me. So she transferred me to Mitch (who is a woman).

My conversation with Mitch started out with her saying that she could see I had called numerous times the day before along with that day. She wanted to know why I wasn't satisfied with what I had been told the previous night. I had been laughed at, implied that I was deadbeat, basically told my son's health isn't that guy's problem (maybe so.... but it becomes a problem when you take far more money out of my account than you are entitled to and then treat me like dirt because, I don't know.... I want it back so I have money to ensure I can afford his inhaler). I told her he told me to call back in the morning so that's what I was doing. Mitch told me she didn't see the big deal between a $157 payment and a $1,571 payment (for any JCP supervisor who doesn't know simple subtraction it's roughly a $1,400 difference). At first she said I would be issued a $1,200 store credit. I obviously am not happy with this idea because I'm not stepping foot in the store again.

Then she said they could return my money but in total I wouldn't get my money back for three to four weeks. Hummm.... You float me a loan for approximately a month and I pay 29% interest. I float you a loan for approximately a month so am I going to get 29% interest on top of that? Oh, silly me... of course not. Mitch told me to log back onto the JCPenney page, log onto my account and stop the payment in the change/cancel payment section. As if I hadn't thought of that. I told her I would if I could but it wouldn't even show me I made a payment so there was nothing to cancel or change. Then she got snippy and told me to fix it myself. And of all the weekends to have this happen Monday was Presidents day. My husband wanted me to call JCP that day but I said I'd rather beat my head off a brick wall than talk to those people again.

First thing Tuesday I went to my bank and filed the paperwork through them to get my money back. I was told many things at the bank, not the least of which is that they could have cancelled this payment at any time AND that according to JCP I authorized this payment over the phone! The only thing I remember authorizing them to do over the phone was kissing my *** By that Friday (Feb.24th) my bank notified me that they took back all but $157.16 as per the payment I authorized. So, you think it ends there? Nope.

I know I still owe $200 plus interest at this point. I log on to the JCP website on March 5th (and no... I won't pay through their website again.... just wanted to check my balance for the total amount due). I have a $1,213.84 credit on my account. Even if I wanted to pay on their site it wouldn't allow me to because they are still saying I have a store credit. I have a good idea what is going on. It's in the neighborhood of a $30 late fee they want. Joke's on you JCP, I paid you through my bank's bill pay. HaHa!!! You got my payment on the 12th so no late fee from me thank you very much. And I was so going to leave it at that until I got a phone call on Friday...

"As a loyal and valued customer at JCP we would like to offer you..." Loyal? Yes, I make purchases at your store and I pay my bill. Valued? I didn't feel too valued when some guy told me if my son had an asthma attack and I couldn't afford to refill his inhaler it was no skin off his back. "What's that baby? You can't breathe? Don't worry, I can buy you a new pair of jeans and get another pair for a penny. Let's go.... momma's getting a new pair of shoes. Stop turning blue and just get in the truck already." Especially when my bank told me JCP could have fixed it that Saturday when it first happend. Valued as in when I use your credit I pay interest but when you take my money I get nothing in return but laughing and a warning for me to tone down my hostility? That poor woman who called me.... I went off on her and explained just how "valued" I felt. I apoligized to her on the phone (and again here). What happend wasn't her fault.

But... JCP, don't treat me like ***, offer not a single apology and then have some nobody call me and tell me how "loyal and valuable" I am. If I were that loyal and valuable someone would have called me and said how sorry they were for this whole mess. Maybe sent me an FTD floral arrangment or a fruit basket. Personally, I'd prefer a beta bowl with a peace lily topper (you probably have some of those in your corporate offices). Don't call me or send anything unless it includes an apology.

Sound's like everyone on this post has a problem.First of all next time be careful about entering your payment amount.Second this was your fault. NOT j c penney's fault. Stop paying your bill's late and You will not have this problem.I am sure J C penney's is not going to go broke because you do not shop their.I understand you were upset because you made the error on your payment,But their was no need to be hostile behind your error. And to bring your child in on this mess you made is plain uncalled for.My child also has ASTHMA and I am sure to alway's have more medication for this cause than actually needed just in case.Alway's prepare yourself for an ASTHMA ATTACK.If not you could very well lose your child.I do not understand why?You would bring up this sickness to j c penney. It's not their problem it's your's.I hope you did not feel like it would get your money back any sooner.

Guest

Jedi.... I think you should reread my post. I did not make a typo. I entered $157.16. I confirmed the authorization for $157.16 and got a thank you for your $1,571 payment. There was no mistake on my part. And mistake or not on my part, they were not entitled to keep my money which is what they attempted do. I'm not sure what country you are in but when someone get's money that they is not theirs and then they refuse to return it's called theft.

As for the rest of your gibberish, nonsensical diatribe.... I never asked not to pay a late fee, I never expected any special treatment and I never mentioned my health issues to any JCP representative. I don't make excuses for late payment. I pay the fees and move. My 748 credit score says late payments aren't a habit of mine so I could care less how you try to paint me as someone who is constantly making late payments.

And your attack on my parenting ability isn't even worthy of a response.

Wow! Congratulations, Jedi Knight Ethan, for COMPLETELY missing the point! I'm so glad you're calling someone else's parenting into question while you clearly possess the reading comprehension of a child.

It was a TYPO, it could have been CORRECTED on the SPOT when she called the FIRST TIME, but was instead given the run-around on the phone for several days.

Time to mind your own business unless you know what you're talking about.

OH and for the record, since I guess all of your concern is for her Asthmatic son... THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE, GENIUS. Nice job running it into the ground, though. For real, BRAVO.

Guest

They did not steal your money, you simply pressed the wrong number and did not double check before submitting. Don't make excuses for your lack of carelessness.

First you make an excuse for forgetting, then you make an excuse for pressing in the wrong number. Also it seems like this is not the first time you had a late payment. You thought because other companies would give you a ten day grace period that they should as well. They have every right to take it to collections, especially since you keep making excuses for your late payments.

Grow up and pay your bills on time. Quit making excuses. The worst thing is that you are a parent, and a bad role model for your son. If you could not afford to pay for his refill it is your own fault for not paying your bill on time.

Also getting loud and vulgar, another poor role model for your child. So immature. Than again your whole. "It's not my fault" attitude is immature.

Your son's health is not their problem. It is yours for not behaving like an adult and paying your bills on time. Quite frankly I believe you are unfit to have a child with asthma. You just admitted that his is not the first time your payment was late do you are not loyal.

Why should they apologize for a mess you created by not pressing the correct number when paying your bills. I have concerns for your son. If you are this hostile and sarcastic do you abuse him? You are right what happened was not her fault, but yours.

Next time double check. So because you entered the wrong digit you expect them to send you a fruit basket.

Seriously lady grow up. You have attitude.

Like she really started blessing out the JCP customer care line while her son was taking notes. -.- Also, just because she's sarcastic and curses when she's being screwed over by an evil company does not mean she is abusing her child you sick ***.

Even I feel like screaming by the end of that. Particularly the part about the difference between $157 and $1571 "not being a big deal", and then STORE CREDIT? Was she SERIOUS?

I work for JCPenney. And although I started out absolutely, GENUINELY loving it, I now have ZERO pride and ZERO faith left in not only my store, but the company as a whole.

Why? Because I've figured them out. They're a pyramid scheme. A dirty, low-down pyramid scheme that has disguised itself as a department store.

Get this -- They PAY (i.e. distribute HOURS and therefore WAGES to) their employees based on PRODUCTION. How is production measured? By how much CREDIT you are able to solicit, of course! The more people you can scam into signing up for probably THE worst credit card in the US and Puerto Rico, the more often you will be scheduled to work...

And keep in mind, hourly associates are NOT paid on commission. Unless you work shoes or jewelry or suits, you do not get paid on commission. But even if you're hourly, if you don't solicit, you don't get paid; the more you solicit, the more you work. It's despicable.

I've seen some complaints on here railing against Penney's for their now "questionable morals" in hiring Ellen Degeneres as their spokesperson. She is the absolute LEAST of their problems, if you can even call her one in the first place... Penney's morals came into question as soon as they began to favor deceiving, misleading and outright LYING to customers AND employees over being "Fair and Square" as they so proclaim.

"JCP" is a JOKE, and hardly even a ghost of their former glory... You were WRONGED, and I know you know this already, but I'm here to tell you I'm on your side from the inside!

My suggestion? Take advantage of the ONE nice policy change they did make, and return EVERYTHING you've EVER bought from Penney's. As long as you have a receipt, it doesn't MATTER when you bought it, you can get cash back/credit back on your card even without the *** price tags. I absolutely reccommend that you FULLY EXPLOIT this ridiculously short-sighted policy change and get your money back for ANY and ALL of your old worn out Penney's stuff, then turn around and head over to Macy's and buy yourself something NICE!

I wish you all the best, and I can only hope your credit card woes have finally been resolved.

JC Penney stinks!

I ordered several items online for pickup in the store. All items were "in stock". After 1 week I checked online to get the status but even though there is a "track your order" link it tells me nothing so I called the Customer Service number to check on the status of delivery. I gave the agent the order number and order date. She commences to lecture me on how long it takes to ship from Ohio to Connecticut and told me I was too impatient. After a couple minutes of this ***, I asked her to just tell me when my order will arrive. She said that she didn't have a clue and to wait at least another week before I "bothered them again". Well guess what I'll never "bother" Penney's again by trying to spend my money on their merchandise! Better yet I'll just cancel this order. Carl.

Furnature Insurance rip-off

I bought the optional insurance for a motorized reclining love seat because I was concerned that the mechanism might not be durable. I unfortunately, placed it against a window and it was damaged when someone tried to return from a reclining position and it caught on the window sill. Unfortunately, their optional insurance only takes precedence after the 1 year of warranty, so first there is a game where neither wants to pay. Then the final decision is that the damage was too sever and had to have happened over a period of time. The warranty requires that you contact for repair within 1 week of damage, not that you notify them when you notice the damage. The insurance is just a rip-off as their really don't want to pay to repair anything! I intend to recommend to my friends and family to never shop at any JC Penny store again.

Whole other company... JCP should have stepped in to help, but has no authority to force these companies to pay. Nor can macys, or any other furniture outfit that sells these plans.
