the jcpennys store manager is unprofessional, sloppy and unorganized. He is not very good with his employees and is also crimanally rude.This is the terre haute store. i used to like shopping there,but not anymore i will never return. Im telling my friends to stay away.i dont know what else to say. It really concerns me about how he runs this store. He has no respect for his customers. other than this i think the store is great. Im just getting this to the rest of the people that runs into this problem. Very very concerned customer

Jcpenney in Las Vegas, Nevada - Due date changed, JC Penny

Did not receive bill, so I paid at the store before the due date we always had. Did not receive bill the next month, again paid at store before the due date we have had for years.3rd month received bill, with 2 huge late fees and new due date. I know of 9 people this happend to. Two of them are JC Penny employees We have always received the bill every month, except the first month the due date was changed to an earlier date, and the following month. This is a scam and for of stealing. We are reporting it.

Jcpenney in Richmond, Kentucky - JC PENNEY'S HAS LOST MY BUSINESS

Due to GE Money Bank deciding to lower my credit limit on my JC Penney's credit card which I have had for over 10 years and never paid late, I will NEVER shop at Penney's again. I realize Penney's didn't make this decision and that's what it states in the letter, but they also didn't change credit management companies and allowed GE Money Bank to lower my limit, so ultimately they are the ones who are going to lose my business. I received the letter lowering my limit at the beginning of December just in time to ruin my holiday shopping, but that's okay. In the end, as the consumer, I am the one who decides how I react to this and other events that are happening in our economy today. I cut up my Penney's card and will never step foot in one of their stores again.

Why is a nine year old such as yourself driving anyway? Obviously you are too young to get a license, after all you can't spell "since" and "special" correctly so you must be nine years old or really ***.

The typing all in caps just tells us you are a little kid that "borrowed" their parents car. Like I said either you are a little kid or you are someone that is really ***.

This is DEFINITELY a SCAM! I have tried to go on my SUPPOSED account and it does not recognize my name or my email when I try to change my pass word.

I WANT ALL of my money to be refunded and I am going to give them *** and JC Penny! These firm is located somewhere in the hopeless state of TEXAS!

Jcpenney in San Diego, California - Penney's Credit Card. Interest charges.

I did not receive any bill in October. You charged me interest on the Nov bill. It was never received. I always pay my bills as soon as I receive them. Please check back on my credit card and you will find every bill has been paid as soon as received. It's only $1.00 interest but I am still annoyed. And I don't need 100 words to tell you this. It would be nice if you could implement some type of system that would automatically send out a second bill in case our lousy post office loses the mail. Rowena Naranjo johnandrowena@sbcglobal.net

In response to the author above about the credit card statement, several things remain in tact. They are not required to send you a paper statement in the mail.

That statement is a courtesy reminder to pay your bill. You can go online and view your account.

If you know that you owe money on your account, pay it. Don't blame the company for your lack of common sense.

I hope that people will wise up and not use your credit cards and let the company get bit in the butt for it.Its just making serious stress conditions on the consumer and families too.

ITs hard but just say NO and cut the cards up ! Keep a major one and ditch the rest.Be responsible!

First off - its GE Money that handles the JC Penney accounts. They are responsible for not sending the statements. They send them under JCP, but GEMB manages the accounts.

Its a ploy they use to pad bills.

Its also a violation of the Fair Credit Billing Act. www.ftc.gov for more info on Fair Credit Billing Act.

Forget trying to deal with GEMB - they will ignore your valid complaint.

File complaints with the Federal Trade Commission AND Office of Thrift Supervision.

YOU HAVE TO DO BOTH!

They cannot ignore the complaints received via the Office of Thrift Supervision and will resolve the issue quickly.

The FTC and OTS cannot enforce Federal Lending Laws with GEMB if no one reports their violations to them.

Jcpenney in Summerville, South Carolina - Interest Rate Hike with Higher Min. Payments

I have had an account at JC Penney for many years. Today I received notice that they were increasing my interest rate, decreasing the time in which I can make payment after receiving the monthly bill and increasing the payment amount on my balance. All this is legal and with the economy what it is, I don't know if I will be able to maintain my credit worthyness with them. It amazes me that they can just change terms on my account like that and just expect me to do what they say. I know their earnings are down, but so are mine.....! Any advice or help out there?

Its not JC Penney - its GE Money that is doing this.

GE Money manages the JC Penney credit accounts.

Expect a drastic credit limit decrease as well - GEMB is cutting everyone's credit limit, even their best customers now only have a $100.00 limit.

File complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. GEMB needs to be investigated !

Complain to JCPENNEY too, however if you send an email to the website - they will just forward to GEMB, when it needs to be sent to JCP executives.

You can reject the changes. This will result in you not being able to charge on the card anymore, but you will still have the old terms stay in effect.

So, your interest rate will stay the same, your payment due date will stay the same, and the minimum payments will remain the same.... and the plus of not being able to use the card is...

you can't use the card! This will reflect in your credit report as account closed by consumer, so it won't be dinged as creditor closing the account.

Jcpenney in Syracuse, New York - Purchased A watch-had to buy a additional watchband

I purchased a Bulova watch as a birthday gift. I paid $160 dollars for it from JC Penny store. The watchband was too tight so I brought back the watch. Another watchband had to be bought so an additional $20 was added to purchase. I believe the store could have taken the band back and exchanged it. No way, JC Penny was not helpful,totally not with it in Customer Service. I told them to keep the original band and give it to someone else with that size wrist. Customer service is not exisitence,and clerk all have too much time on their hands.
