Beds don't generate heat..You Do. Use a lighter blanket.

Here is a tip. Do not buy a mattress at a department store.

It is like ordering Italian Spaghetti at a chinese resturant. Next time go to a mattress store or at least a furniture store.

JCPenney - Beware of Internet Sales

Ordered three pairs of earrings online at JC Penney for Christmas. Received one pair and was informed that the other 2 pairs should be shipped soon. The backs on the pair I received were *** for 1/2 carat diamonds. However, I thought I could just buy new backs since the price was such a great deal. But 2 1/2 weeks later, I was informed via e-mail that the other two pair of earrings were no longer available and a refund would be issued. Here it is one week before Christmas and I'm two gifts short. No call, apology, or equal offer.

To clarify, you made an online purchase and formed expectations based on a non-guaranteed assumption that they would arrive by Christmas.

Stock-out scenarios are common with many online retailers. A complaint is only warranted if you do not get your money back.

Tried ordering 4 different comforter sets on line . They have the curtains , shams , accent pillows and valances . But not one of the sets had the comforters to go with every thing else . Why would I buy the rest of the stuff ,if I really only wanted the comforter to start with . I would have ordered the the rest of the stuff to match my set . I was able to order fine everything , but when I went to check out every one of them said comforter no longer available . If the comforters are not available you need to delete the picture from the internet . You put the nice big picture to lure the customer to try and get rid of the accessories to the set you could not sell .

Ordered a xmas tree on 11/29/10 online. To be here today according to invoice. Louzy tracking info. Called and talked to two people...one said two more weeks, the other said that it has not shipped yet, to ship tomorrow and will go out??????. I guess another 7 business days. Since the tree has not been shipped, no tracking info. Should receive tracking info tomorrow...that is, if it gets shipped. The tree was supposed to be decorated this weekend...thanks JC Penney..according to your employees I'll have the tree the week of xmas and this is not acceptable!:(

JC Penny in conjunction with Stonebridge Benefit Services is offering rebates after purchases however in small print they are enrolling the purchaser in a program which debits your credit card monthly at $9.95 for the pleasure of receiving coupons from them thus negating the rebate. When contacted they refuse to refund the debits you have encountered. It is amazing that a retail giant would want to *** off customers and ensure that they will never buy from them again. I have contacted my bank, canceled my card because they keep charging after you opt out, also BBB and JCP corporate.

I had the same problem. JCP is giving SB people's personal and credit card information and may people are saving it was without their consent.

To make it worse, when I asked for proof we signed up for this, neither JCP or SB could prove I'd signed up or they had sent me any membership info or coupons. The SB site (once I found it) doesn't even have a phone number or email address. If you look up SB on the internet there are PAGES of people who say that their personal and credit card information was given to SB without permission. SB was extremely rude and refused to fully refund my money.

I ordered a dresser from JCP 11/13/10. Invoice says I am to receive it within 7 days..I have not received item or heard from JCP about this item. It's now 12/04/10. I have called them ..put on hold for 13 min. was hung up on 2 times..transfered to 5 different people..several supervisors...NO ONE knows where this dresser is or when I will receive it!! I have called several times and get the same results..where do I go from here?? No one will take responsibility. "Pass the buck" is their game..blaming different departments.

Rip off on Cyber Monday at Penneys | Jcpenney review from Clarksville, Texas

I ordered drapes at Penneys on Cyber Monday. Extra good price. Today I get phone call that the drapes aren't available.Order email shows in stock. Order update shows on backorder. They are still online and when you phone in,you can still order. You can order at a price that's 30 dollars a panel more than order price paid. Talked with supervisor and she's going to try to order directly and get those for me,at the price I ordered . She apologized for the problem. I suspect a large volume on this item or a pricing glitch. That's not my fault and would have ordered at the sale price the day before if I had known this was going to happen. No more orders if this doesn't work out. Probably no more buying from them either.

I ordered a ring and pendant for my wife for Christmas on Cyber Monday. Original ship date was 12/7.

Now they are not expected to ship until 1/25/2011. I am highly dissapointed with how apathetic JCPenney customers service has been with this situation.

Terrible Furniture Experience | Jcpenney review from San Bruno, California

Purchased a sectional sofa from JCP, that was required to be special order for the color. Was told it would take 8-12 weeks. It took several weeks longer, and when I called to check on the delay, they informed me they didn't have my phone # right in their system. 1st problem. Then... I get the sectonal delivered and notice issues with the fabriac and seaming right away, not happy. Delivery guy calls the customer care and they offer to give us back $300 if we will keep it as is, but ensure us that it doesn't void the warranty if there are any further problems. Within maybe a month or two, I notice several more spots where the seams are coming part and even a spot where the stitching pulled so tigh, *** was created and anotehr one in process. I call the customer care and they inform me some guy has to come out and write up a report and they will get back with me...turns out they don't make that sofa anymore (probably cause it's a piece of ***) so they tell me I can pick out another sofa (mind you, I have to return the $300 credit to them, and if the sofa I select cost more, too bad for me. After going to JCP, I find the only 2 sofa's that are even near what I originally selected cost a couple hundred $$ more.) I talk with a manger to see if they can assist me by at least waiving the delivery fee to cut the cost a little - they say no. They will not do anything for any of my inconveniences, now it is the holiday's, I have this piece of *** furniture, & can't get them to assist me with a new one.... I inquire if they will just rfund me the difference (less the $300 credit) and they can just come pick-up there sofa (so I can look elsewhere for a replecement) at which time they tell me first I have to send the a reimbursement check for the $300 and then they will turn back around and reimburse me the full amount for the sofa?!?!? So now I am expected to take another step to pay them so they can pay me back.. .WTF? All I can say is I will NEVER buy anything from JCP again, especially furniture, and I will be sure to let all my friends and family know how awful their quality and customer service is.

I work in customer service. For a different company though.

I can almost guarantee this lady ordered wrong, and was entering in the wrong e mail address or not putting in all of the e mail address. MVP im sure like most big box stores has a very savvy online ordering system.

Why would her order have so many issues if no one else did. In the end it's the end users fault because their not competent enough to read and follow the ordering directions.

JC Penny allowed them to cheat me to. They trick you into signing up and then charge you $9.95 a month. They claim they tell you up front, but they just says something like signup for email alerts on deals and save $10 off this order. You say OK - and then they tell you how they screwed you. It is WRONG. As far as I am concerned - JC Penny is to blame for letting them do it. Again, JC Penny allowed them to cheat me - and they have lost a customer. With the bad economy, you think they would care about keeping customers.

I think you are mistaken about something here. The reward program is free.

I get emails from the company all the time and I don't pay $10 a month ever for the services.

Did you sign up for something else?

Could it be your bill from ordering stuff using the store credit card? You can always opt out of the charges.
