Jcpenney in Ocala, Florida - Do not buy JCP gift cards!

I purchased a gift card with my debit card, the money was taken out of my bank account, yet the card did not work. After three weeks of speaking to the store manager, the gift card company, and JCP corporate the situation has still not been resolved. As of today I have gotten the runaround from ten people who are supposedly customer service representatives, three from JCP corporate. They continue to tell me they will call me back but no one has called me back. The store manager will not return my phone calls. I will never shop at JCP again, I am disgusted.

Yes I had a gift card and I had the reciept and JcPenny still refused to honor it. JCP looked it up in the system saw there was a balance and still would not honor the gift card.

I will never shop there again or purchase any giftcards from JCP ever again. Worst Company ever and terrible customer service.

well its something to do with the people that handle the jc penney credit cards... Problems with those cant be handled by the store managers they have to be handle by the people that issue them. and thats not always true either i sell giftcards all the time at jc penney and have not once had a problem with them so put the blame on the gift card people

i went to jcpenney to get a dress an i went to the counter to buy it but it had the wrong belt wit it so i told the lady an she said ok we will *** 10 percent an we was bout to pay for it wen dis other man that work there came up an was like the belt is ova there on the floor an so i said can u show me an he walked me ova there an he didnt see no belt an he tried to accuse me of stealing the belt so i could get the dress for a discount price when he saw that he was wrong he took the dress an told me it was unsellable merchandise

very poor customer service form JC Penney Ordered a three piece patio set on an internet special price $100. Got shipped only the table. They Initially said the set was $299 and table only was $100. We doubled checked the ad -- both theh text and the picture clearly showed 3 pcs, but they said they would honor ad if we could produce it. We fortunately had it. Mailed in, and they basically accused us of creating a false ad to scam them. their case number 6611588 if anyone form Penney sis monitoring this.... Of course by this time the ad was not longer running.. Long time customer, now long gone......

The internet store and the physical store are different. I bought Levis jeans for less through the online store than I would have if I purchased them in the physical store. Be happy!!

My mother bought a product online for my grandmother for Mother's Day on April 22th. They said it would take 7 to 14 business days for her to receive the item. Before Mother's Day my mother called again and asked where it was at. They told her the order was screwed up and that they would mail it out by May 14th. Now its May 20th and my mother called today and they told her that the product would not mail out until July 10th! This clearly shows the ineffectiveness of JC Penny Corporation and their business practices. I ask you as consumers to join this group and show your discontent with their products and services! Just Me,I think that you are wrong. I went to Walmart and had poor quality service given to me.

I even went so far as to contact the company and got to talk to the store manager. The associate that gave me poor service was told that her job is hanging on by a thread.

A friend of mine had bad customer service from the same person I reported. She in turn is going to report this which the associate Melissa will be fired once and for all.

Let me get this straight, you and your mom are perfect without ever making mistakes in your life?

As far boycotting the company, I find this a bit harsh. Sometimes the supplier will have a shortage on the merchandise which can cause delays in the shipment. Did you ever consider asking for a refund after the second ship date was missed?

Should we boycott you for not being perfect in life? Should we boycott you based on your personality? I don't think so.

I have boycotted one company(SEARS) for past 5 years due to them stealing $25 on a pair of work pants that I ordered and the company refused to give me my money back. And they didn't want to make things right for me. This a lot different than your experience. You can get your refund if you ask.

You're calling for a boycott of a company due to them being unable to ship you a backordered product? Seriously?

If this was such a problem I would think that you (or your mother in this case) would have demanded a refund and saught a product from another store. JC Penney has a reputation of decent customer service.

The catalogue department's service differs from store to store due to stores hiring human beings who are all different. It could be worse....you could have to deal with people in India.

I agree JC Pennys is terrible, the online and catalog department are the worse. This use to be a great store, it is no longer, I will go to walmart from now on, at least you get customer service there!

I reside in Emporia Kansas. It is a small town that has encountered several setbacks. This is due to economical setbacks, limited merchandise availability and imcompentant and unprofessional employees. We have had a large distributor close just recently and I can't began to tell you how degrading the owner was. JCPenny's may follow her suit.The managers are rude! I frequent the store and consider myself a valued customer, but received the worst treatment.I had asked a manager to find a shirt in an online catalog. JCPennys has a computer that will do search for them. I was told by the tmanager hat she did not have time to look for my order since I did not have a number. She then turned her back to me and told another sales representative to take care of me.Disgusting behavior! I want Emporians to know how rude the managers and sales representative are.I will not shop there again!

i went to shopping with my mom today and when we about to check out and pay for these items, those staff just laying themself chatting with eachother,totally ignore us. and we are like excuse me, so she turn her back and give us the look like we are interrupting her talking with her friends.

WTF. horrible staff.

The staff who works in Jc Penney stare at you if you are touching or trying on things. They are very rude. This has happend to me in FL, and in NY. I guess all JC penney chains are rude & disrespectful, they ripp you off. Like in brochure they lower the price but when U go there with coupon they either don't except it or they will start making excuses and All the time their Cashiers call the store manager even if I am asking for change or something. The company should be closed or atleast be fined, because they have very very poor customer service. They dont listen to U. No wonder why they dont have any branches outside U.S. Very Disgusting store I must say!

Seeing as we were robbed, my store is NOT to open the drawer for anything other than a sale. We don't even give change to any kids either for the rides. Sad, but a fact of life.

It also depends on your behavior in the store! I've had instances of people being hostile, and we watch them and ask if they need help. Watch everything they do if we have reason to believe your any type of threat to us or our customers. Again, for us, it goes back to the fact we got robbed!

We say hi, greet everyone, and if it's within our company policy, we do what's right by you. If I myself can't help, I get my manager for authorization.

Cupons, for the record, cannot be used on anything electronic or cookware. Period. It's listed in exclusions. And there are only very few times where we DONT have that cupon available! Normally it's for card holders only, early shopping for a sale, or mailed out to customers at random.

This is not the associates fault!

Why not ask them?

They might be looking at you to see if you need help. I would probably stare at you to, if you were trying things on where I was able to see you.

That's why stores offer fitting rooms. If you were really shopping, why would you notice anyone staring at you. Getting change? Who goes into a store and asks for change?

It's not a bank. ALL companies that give out multiple coupons have exclusions specifically written on the back, which is not a cashier's fault.

How did you get ripped off? Did the manager only give you 3 quarters in exchange for your dollar!!!lol

my husband bought my engagement ring 8 months ago... weve been married two weeks. my wedding band is completely tarnished! from 2 weeks !!! thank god i bought the "Protection PLAN" but, i go to get my eng ring cleaned and she brings it back with the diamond in pieces and says i will have to pay to replace the diamond because it fell out!! This is so wrong! I dont have the p. plan on this ring either. Not to mention he pd 1500.00 for this ring and a few weeks later it was "on sale" for 750.00.
