After being told the delay for my refund was because of my bank, I talked to my bank and they informed me that is not true.

I called JCPenney again and informed them if they didn't refund me within 7 days I would open a dispute through the bank.

I got my refund 3 days later.

I ordered a mattress from JCPenney.com in late March. After placing my order I received an email for my order number and a notice saying I would be contacted by April 9th to schedule a delivery time.

After sleeping on the floor since Christmas, I was very anxiously awaiting this mattress! April 10 rolls around and I still hadn't heard from them so I call customer service. They tell me the mattress was delivered to my town, however the dispatcher it was supposedly had no record of receiving the item. OK.

Now what? We will file a report JCPenney tells me. I was told the manager would call me within the next two days with a solution. Two days later, no call.

Again, I am the one calling them. Again I was told, we will continue to work on this report. We will call in a few days. I was NEVER contacted by JCPenney.

I had to call FOUR times and every single time I got the same answer. "We will work on this.", "We will call you in a few days to resolve the issue.". FINALLY I called and requested that they resend me a mattress and whenever they get around the finding the other one it's theirs to deal with. They said yes.

And then they called back and said, "Oh, I'm sorry the one we lost was out last one of that kind." Honestly at this point they should have sent me the next best thing. Instead of making a giant fuss I simply asked for me money to be refunded. They tried to get me to keep waiting for the original mattress to be found but I was just DONE. They agreed to refund my money on March 23rd saying it would take 3-5 days.

After 5 days I still had not received my refund. I called and they said it was really 7-10 days. OK. So now it's almost day 12 and I have still NOT been refunded.

WHAT IS GOING ON JCPENNEY?!?!?!?!?!?! I am FURIOUS.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $214.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

JCPenney Cons: False promises, Wasted time, Rude employees.
